nice job. You did what we couldn't. Mind you had we a hole in the centre of defense we might have faired a bit better than we did :p. That's the positive of having high technique strikers.
Fromastaflex seems to be lazy, playing the same tactic all the time and not using conditional orders. I guess that`s why USA is only 24th in rankings. On paper they have top 10 team for sure. Yeah the hole helped definitely, but how much, that we never find out.

Nah, positive side is owning the opponent players:)
Allison was also MoM.

Yeah, certainly seems that way. They've got an incredible squad on paper and really need a more enthusiastic manager.
Indeed, I can sit around and tease about you getting the hole but it was created from good execution anyway. Certainly gave you every chance of taking the game to them :).

Feel free to tease me, I am ok with it.
I know it helped us and was probably a decider of the match. However with bit less luck USA might have scored few more goals. Kaz also did a great job in goal.

Luck's always a part of the game. Pretty rare that luck gets split 50-50 :). That's football in general. Good to see NZ doing well again though, always makes end of season friendlies (though they're clearly not friendly :p) between Aus and NZ interesting and good watching :).
Was a good game to watch. I'll admit I cheered and pumped by fists when we scored :D
Agree with your comments about Watts. Smuckers had a few good moments, but overall Watts had the wood over him, with some helpful support from Williams. Over-hyped :)
Their keeper did well saving quite a few one-on-ones, but in the end our guys were too much for him. Couldn't go on saving all day!
It's been a great season for the team Vilpu. You and your nefarious tactics have done wonders. We will win the World Cup for sure :P

On saturday we meet the boys from far north, they call their country Iceland.
In the past I was also NT manager there, so I know their players quite well.

As you see we have played them twice. One close win and a loss from December last year. Hopefully this time numbers will be other way around. Our U21 also plays them tomorrow, we need to win and prove we are better. As I mentioned I know their players well. We are better in offense, no question about that. Their best striker is close to triple magical. However Island`s midfield is sth I would like to have. Luckily Björn Edvinsson won´t play. In defense The have a player below, who belongs to me. Also Gustav Sveinbjörnsson is similar to him. So they are not worse than we, both teams have their strengths. Definitely can`t underestimate Island.
Even Dybdal, age: 27
formidable stamina unsatisfactory keeper
magical pace divine defender
incredible technique formidable playmaker
incredible passing solid striker
Björn Þór Edvínsson, age: 24
formidable stamina average keeper
outstanding pace magical defender
incredible technique magical playmaker
magical passing average striker

Iceland have been in sokker less time, than New Zealand and their user base is as big as yours. But they have done great job with junior school. I guess everybody try to use the potential of it. This is what every user in NZ should do and probably most of you do. Hopefully few of the new users stay here too and help to grow new players.

Brent Almendra - 25y old defender has been called up. Tomorrow this defender with solid passing/pm will make his debut in midfield against Island.
Many of our midfielders are injured or in a low form, that`s why I thought it would be fun to use him:)

Solid 3:1 victory. The first half was equal, but we definitely dominated on the second half. Shame we scored only 3 goals, because who might have noticed, then we missed at least 4-5 one on one chances. I like Brent Gilbert, shame he is already 30. He will help us in next season for sure, but season after that is already questionable. But luckily if we manage to qualify to World Cup, by then Brunton and Priore should be looking very good.
Yep, good result. Morcombe almost got his hat-trick, but it wasn't to be. Gilbert definitely had an impact off the bench. Great save by Kaz towards the end too.
When I compare Morocombe`s pace and tech with Gilbert`s, then they are equal, but some way Gilbert is more active. Morocombe seems sleepy and his feet don`t as fast as they should.
Next week we meet Eesti. They won`t use their best line-up. Bluep mentioned using only players, who play in Eesti.

Eesti eh? We've only played them twice before, losing 4-0 and 6-1, although I'm sure you'll know this :P
Will be tough. Good luck.
Will be tough. Good luck.
After Eesti comes another strong one Finland and after that before WCQ we play Singapore, where I plan to use 100% B-squad.
As I mentioned Eesti won`t use their first team and we have a chance. If we will be defeated, then we won`t lose much ranking points. For example as we lost to England. But if we win, then I think we are automatically in TOP 30 in rankings. Island won Belgium last week 2:1 and they gained 80 ranking points. That`s like more than a half we have collected this season. So lets hope for the best:)

I only keep strong opponents in mind. That`s why I forgot Australia.
