Short introduction:)

Tomorrow we will play against Latvija. Both teams will use their B-squads.
Not much more to add, however Icon`s player Jerry Cumming will make his NT debut. Gets 30 minutes to prove himself. Hopefully will be interesting game.
I can´t see the game myself - too much partying planned for today and tomorrow:)

If anyone have noticed from our season schedule, then in week 8 we have a friendly against Nicaragua. I will only use players who belong to NZ users. I´ll try to get at least one player from each club.

Will watch match tomorrow morning when I am sober ;P

Just dedicated to him:)

Nothing special to watch. Don`t ask me the reason why Brunton played as a winger in the 2nd half - just my mistake. I had too much cola and rum last night, but I saved my vodka. Will finish that tonight lol

After a short break World Cup Qualifiers will continue tomorrow and we are playing against dangerous Cymru (Wales).

If we beat them, then I feel more confident and our chances will go much better getting to WC. Anyway, it´s visible from the chart they have good team.

Average marks
74.0 Suomi
70.7 Canada
66.4 New Zealand
65.5 Cymru
60.0 Shqipëria
56.2 Paraguay

Despite of the marks I consider NZ better - out defenders and mids are similar, but kiwi strikers should be much better. That`s our ace for tomorrow. I am surprised Canada beat them 7:2 - we probably won`t score that much goals though, the only aim is to win and win. I guess Wales will use mainly defensive tactic, but will see. We have been unbeatable for last 6 matches. I would like to continue like this for another 5-6 weeks at least:)

Probably will be a close game, luckily Morocombe and Kaz in great form to make
a difference.

We win, which is good. We scored 2 goals, which was bad if look at the stats and game. Missed penalty, 3 bars/posts, 5+ one on ones missed..etc..Could have been more worse though. Wales was close scoring few times, so it`s good they didn`t.

I am satisfied with my experiments too - Campfens with solid passing, very good pm on midfield, Almendra in defense...They played well.

Anyway, watch the game and cound how many goals we should have scored:)

It was our 7th win in a row.

When I am sober >_>

I have noticed you say that every week:)

Tomorrow we meet Albania and we definitely need a big win. Canada goal difference is much better, than ours, so it will be really important to score many goals. However I am not expecting an easy game. They played well against Canada and weren`t far from scoring a goal.

Albania is 77th in the rankings and has scored one point so far, when they draw against Paraguay. Our goal machines Morocombe, Gilbert and Priore are in divine form - hopefully I can make them scoring a lot. The most important is actually to have a no-injury/cards game. We have already lost Samson and Watts - and we need every player against Canada in next week, which is the most important game of the season.

Good start for a day - 7:0 was more than I expected. The first half was difficult and we missed a lot, but the beginning of second half was perfect. Tactic wasn`t good, I actually thought Albania will use that tactic, but still didn`t bother to change the positioning of our strikers much.

Next week we meet Canada, can`t really wait that game already. The bad news - I can`t use defenders Williams and Watts, our best mid/winger Sansom is injured for a long time. I guess that list will grow tomorrow or wednesday. Shame that Findlay and Edwars have ben in low form for 2 seasons, otherwise there wouldn`t be a problem with defenders.
2009-10-04 16:49:54
We have lost Kaz Taylor for next week.
2009-10-04 16:52:23
Ouch. I'm sure if there was 1 player you'd not want unavailable (obviously you'd want everyone available if you could), Taylor would have to be right up there.

That's going to make your match a lot tougher unless you're fortunate enough to have another quality keeper floating around.
2009-10-04 17:00:27
Our other keepers are lightyears behind Kaz. I would have preferred losing Morocombe over Kaz...Oorschot might be unearthly keeper by now, but his pace is only adequate.

It can´t go any worse than it is. Sansom, Watts, Kaz, Williams. Findlay and Edwards in low form. So I can`t use half of my starting line-up. Difficult situation, but I actually like it:) Difficult challenges still keep me in this game.
2009-10-04 17:25:14
Haha - speak of the devil. I wonder whose next:)
2009-10-04 17:26:57
he might be back by next Saturday, depends if he heals quicker than 1 day per real day. Pretty unlikely though.

He should have 2 day injury by then, but I am not planning to use him with that. I usually prefer high keeper skill over pace and without injury he would play against Canada.
