I'm not suggesting to put the defenders way down into the penalty box but certainly not way up too. And for offense wise, I suggest to play the strikers not so wide apart. Maybe two really up front and then one striker slightly behind the two.

Just my humble suggestion

canada had the better team so we cant really sulk about the loss. Their ratings are much better and they have more users than us to provide more rounded players. Tactics isn't everything. Even though sometimes the tactic is BRILLIANT, we cannot win against a better team. =)
and dont forget as good as our Nt coach is at making tactics, the Nt coach for canada Seca, must also be a good tactician.

So BRILLIANT tactic with BRILLIANT players VS BRILLIANT tactic with OUSTANDING players,

of course the first group will be better than the second group ;)

Just like in real life, a weaker team, no matter how tactical they play they will most ofthe time lose to a good team. A manager of a good team has to be a good tactician ;)

Good example will be Arsene Wenger, good tactician ;) but players dont have enough skill to take down the likes of Jose Mourinho's players. They did beat Manchester United with Adebayor alone ;)

Okay maybe not a good example.. hmm australian coach? Not good enough to beat Italy even though he was the better coach ??? But italy cheated.... so not a good example

Hmmm AHA! Greece in basketball. As far as the manager is good... (beat USA) They still got hammered by Spain in the finals because Spain was the better team with the lousier manager.

So all I'm saying, sometimes we cannot blame it or say "the tactic wasn't good enough" The tactic was good. Our players weren't :)

Hope you all get what I'm sayin

Thank you for two interesting games (and for the kind words bballmaster2). I'm always a little nervous playing against teams with powerful strikers such as yours.

I would love to join in on the tactical discussion, but I'm sure enough of my preferences are already visible on the pitch. :)

We will do our very best to defeat Mexico next week, which would place your qualification fate squarely in your hands.

Cheers.

When you start playing defenders too far out, and your opponent has decent strikers, you will find they do a lot of tackles and outrun the defenders and have easy one on ones with the keeper!

Yeap, every tactic has some disadvantages and that's a big 1 :)

No tactic is perfect and even though the tactic is really good canada's tactic is also really good. They had better players than us ;) If we have same level players maybe it will be a different story :)

That's for sure :)
