Subject: [NT]Maqoma
NT elections started...so here my speech :)
Hi New Zealand!
I'm Maqoma the old NT coach of New Zealand and I hope for your votes again!!
Who am I?
I’m Maqoma, manager of BVBA Isimobewerking, currently playing in series 2de klasse.02, the 2nd Divsion off Belgium. My age ... 19 years old and addicted to Sokker :) I'm playing Sokker for 6 seasons now. I also train wingers or/and playmakers.
History
I became 4th with New Zealand in the WC groups. Because of the 4th place in the groups, New Zealand can go for the first time to the WC! I hope I can get the chance to defend New Zealand in the WC. Nederland, België, etc. ... are ready for defeat! :)
Experience:
1) Belgium NT coach
2) New Zealand NT coach

Questions? You can ask here! :)

good luck in the Belgium elections :)
good luck in the Belgium elections :)
Salutations Maqoma and thanks for running for the NT coach again. You have done a great job in leading New Zealand to the World Cup for the first time and that definitely needs congratulations. You are up against some tough opponents, in particular bballmaster2 but i wish you the best in luck in retaining your position through the world cup stages.
Would you be able to analyse the close, competitive matches we had this season during the qualifiers and tell us now what you could've/should've done different to either reduce our losses/increase our wins or win instead of lose? This will be a more difficult task for you than the others as you set the tactics in the first place and probably(hopefully) to the best of your ability, so ripping into your own thoughts will be tough.
Thanks for your time!

Not sure if you have bothered to see that there is another great candidate as well. So it's just not that easy.
Yes i don't say that you not a good NT-coach but Maqoma is not bad
You said he was the best, and wondered how you could say that so easy. Have you checked the NZ candidate?
Ok i say it mayby to easy!
Yes i checked the NZ candidate and i now that it very difficuld to the Nt-coach of New-Zealand to be :D

I would back you up if i could.

Thanks Barhilo! I'm very happy with the first qualification from New Zealand at Sokker. It's a great chance for the National Team of New Zealand, to show there real kiwi power :)
Yeap, the election with bballmaster2 istn't that easy because of alot of reasons. First I'm not from New Zealand (big disadvantage!) and I'm not playing in the premier.. so I can't show my strength against 7 New Zealand users. But it will be close I think or hope.. :)

Ok.
1)New Zealand - Belarus 2:0
This was my first match. A victory and a great start for New Zealand. It was also a first introduction with the team. Very nice match from our star Hird and I decided (after that match) to make our team younger. Example: Chris Warwood out of the team.
Other tactic ?
Hmm, yes but we won that match..so don’t need to say a other/new tactic. I want to stay unpredictable for the opponent in the WC ;)
2)New Zealand - México 3:1
I was a afraid for this match. The first reason was because of the strong opponent Mexico and the 2nd reason was because I used NEW nt players.
It was the first match for our talented defenders John Kilkenny and Matt Graham. Also a new player in the attack: Matt Hawkey
So after the 90minutes and the great win against Mexico, I was a very happy :)
Other tactic ?
Same answer.
3)België - New Zealand 4:2
First friendly and immediately against my home country. We stoped alot of great chances from Belgium but yeah..they only need 1 chance to score :) We scored 2 goals against them...just watch the games from Belgium...they didn't lose 1 match this season. And we where so damn close to victory :)
Other tactic ?
Zonal defence a little bit faster and Arsmstrong and Chadwick on the right place :s
4)Hellas - New Zealand 0:13
I 've put the defence very high because I wanted to creat alot of goals and offsides. Why? If we became 4th, we could play the WC because of more goals then the others ;)
It was also my first test with Ferris as a winger. He showed his strength for me and till now, he was very important for NZ and my tactics.
Other tactic ?
None. Just the tactic I wanted to play.
This is part 1. I will post part 2 after the NT match against Russia.

I vote for bball not because he is kiwi and maqoma is a foreigner.
Bball has proven to be a better tactician and a less arrogant person. At least he accepts critism and listens to people comments but that still makes him a pathetic loser and I still dont like him for being one.
Dont ask me to delete this message. I havent said anything offensive. *roll*
@unbelievers: Sorry, but I don't know what you are talking about. I think I can listen to people comments..I've send all the New Zealand users a sokker mail (3-4 weeks ago) about there junior school. I gave there my vision and asked for there plans.. Can you give me a example so I wouldn't make that mistake again..

If you have the talent to control the national team within the nation, and he/they actually want to control the team... support them.
No offense to magoma (or borkos in australia), but you really should build up the knowledge inside the nation. The experience from national team.
Get a main coach, get a few assistants that gets more info than the rest and the community as whole will gain on it as more and more people get skillfull. The discussions around the national team will be better as well since more people actually have followed it closely.
Leave it to foreign guys and you will in most cases lose that possibility. Even if the manager is great, it doesn't build up the knowledge as much.
You kiwis have a good option here in bballmaster2. I sure as hell would have voted for him if I had the chance. He's got knowldege and seems willing to share information with you all.
@TerjeH: I think it's different when the foreigner guy wants to give his expierence to the users.
I'm very open for (tactical) dicussions. I have bball messenger for 1/2 year now? We talked alot about sokker in that period. I showed him that playmakers needs more skills then only playmaking. Just to say 1 thing about our sokker talks.
I also talked alot with Barhilo last season..so that's the way I communicate with some users. I also created a [NT]News topic...
So the communication is better then the season before. And If they want more animation on the forums..I can always be the NT clown coach :)

Yeah, I think you have done well inn communicating, but it doesn't stop there.
What when you leave your possition as NT Coach? The chance of you running off completely is extremely much higher than with a guy from NZ.
Also I am for the idea of letting one or two guys from the nation help, or at least get alot of inside knowledge so the knowledge is spread round on how things work with a national side and what you think.
If you have done that I am not sure.
Running a NT side is a great boost for a manager, and so it should be. And how you go on about letting people in close what NZ is doing and players is up to you. I just see the chance higher of reaching what I think is smart if Bball is the NT coach.
