Subject: NT bballmaster2!

2006-11-14 07:39:51
Okay here's my speech.

I'm the manager of deathstrike currently in premier of New Zealand. I have played sokker for 6-7 seasons and am easily the oldest member here. I might be the most experience but I still can't say I'm the best. There are other really tough New Zealand teams out there! I have won the premier FIVE times in a row and I'm hoping to continue that run. I am active in the forums and I am really active on sokker. I log in for 3 hours a day or even more. I have a good array of tactics.

Tactics wise I've gotten much better and I can say i am finnaly good at making tactics. Although my opinion on a GOOD tactic might be different to yours, I still accept any constructive critism. I have learnt not to be stupid and play with simple but good tactics.

If I were the coach, I would ensure that everyone HAS to HAVE a say in what tactics or what formations I should play. Everyone is included and we will have a thread on the NT games. I would make sure that I spend a lot of time. I am ready to work really hard and make New Zealand, into a competitive country.

I believe in being humble and the underdog. It is losing that makes me learn. I like learning from better managers and the key to victory is always be humble and learn from your mistakes and from better managers. If you win, celebrate but do not forget who got you to where you are :)

I dont like bragging but this is for reasonable reasons :)

My achievements so far

Won premier five times in a row
Won cup twice only :(
I led New Zealand to 2nd in the mini world cup beating strong teams like slovensko and ireland. Losing to Romania 4-2 in the finals.

My proudest moment. Beating a polish div 2 or 3 team and getting complimented by him:)

hmm...I don't know...seems wrong to de-throne the National Team Coach who took the National team to the World Cup..
2006-11-14 08:28:25
I could not have led NZ to the world cup finals as I wasnt the NT coach during the qualification stages 3 seaons ago :)

But you can always become NT coach next season (it will be my last season NT coach)..I build some team for this WC, I will be very disappointed if I can't finish my work :(

Hey there bball! Let me first say that i wish you the best of luck for your campaign.

What i want to ask is if you would be able to analyse the close competitive games we have had (in qualifiers of course otherwise they wouldn't be competitive) for example against Canada, Mexico and Italy and tell us what you would have done differently in those games to either Win instead of lose, or improve the score (ie making losses smaller or wins bigger)

Thanks for your time!

I was told to delete that message because of reasons.

I vote for bball not because he is kiwi and maqoma is a foreigner.
Bball has proven to be a better tactician and a less arrogant person. At least he accepts critism and listens to people comments but that still makes him a pathetic loser and I still dont like him for being one.
Dont ask me to delete this message. I havent said anything offensive. *roll*

If you have the talent to control the national team within the nation, and he/they actually want to control the team... support them.

No offense to magoma (or borkos in australia), but you really should build up the knowledge inside the nation. The experience from national team.

Get a main coach, get a few assistants that gets more info than the rest and the community as whole will gain on it as more and more people get skillfull. The discussions around the national team will be better as well since more people actually have followed it closely.

Leave it to foreign guys and you will in most cases lose that possibility. Even if the manager is great, it doesn't build up the knowledge as much.

You kiwis have a good option here in bballmaster2. I sure as hell would have voted for him if I had the chance. He's got knowldege and seems willing to share information with you all.

I agree that bballmaster2 is very talented in his tactical skills and has more than enough prowess to lead the NT to victory on many occasions. The fact that he is from New Zealand also makes his chance at winning the election all the more likely as us kiwis are a proud bunch, and my foreign accounting teacher was commenting the other week at how patriotic we are, so patriotic that we would pay up to 25% as much for a product that was NZ made over an identical product that was from overseas.

However, no matter how good someone is, they dont receive any votes from me until they answer my questions :)

Psst - ask him why he couldn't beat my extreme 1 def special tactic ;).
2006-11-16 09:02:40
You ask him that :P

If i can make questions to aussie candidates you can make questions to nz candidates :P
2006-11-16 09:04:21
Ok I'll ask then :).

In hindsight, referring to this match, what would you have done differently, considering the tactic played was far from what you would normally come up against.
