Midfielders with only good in playmaking are not that good as you think :)

I think you should start giving them passing for example...

He needs pace, stamina, tech and defending.
2006-02-11 01:34:40
so in other words, before u say he is an average player he has to have good stats in all of those?
2006-02-11 05:09:47
yes sir.

Rick Burson, age: 26
value: 264 000 NZ$, wage: 1 920 NZ$
club: st patricks blue, country: New Zealand
outstanding form

formidable stamina, tragic keeper
good pace, average defender
average technique, solid playmaker
solid passing, poor striker

he seems to get equal stats as your player:)
2006-02-11 08:39:18
Yes. At the moment he can't handle the ball (due to low tech), can't get to the ball (low pace) and when he gets a chance to make a tackle, he doesn't.

I've got a midfielder I paid £95k for that gets the same marks that he does. All the divine PM is doing for him is making his wage high.
2006-02-11 10:13:27
but u can expect him to make a perfect cross if he does ;) and he does that. I've got other players too with technique..some of my mids have technique I use them as wingers or Oms and some have defence...and some of them have nice pace...

Christian Armstrong, age 23

This is the midfielder I mentioned:

formidable stamina,
excellent pace,
average technique,
good passing,
hopeless keeper
adequate defender
solid playmaker
weak striker

His high pace means he gets to the ball, his defending isn't that high, but generally he is more than able to take the ball off of a lot of midifelders (as they would need solid tech to get around him). His tech isn't spectacular, but high enough to give him some control of the ball.

He cost me hardly anything and is possibly my best ever buy (have only trained him in pace).

A midfielder like this would also be better than having divine pm:

excellent stamina,
adequate pace,
unsatisfactory technique,
incredible passing,
tragic keeper
solid defender
good playmaker
hopeless striker

He's a tad slow, but works well as a defensive middie, and when he passes the ball his passes are often deadly accurate (has got me a fair few chances). He was also a bargain.

The divine playmaker/exc passing is not yet fully trained. I dont care about his defending. hes a winger. I just got to get his pace and technique up a bit. And how about my ther players? Your opinions would be appreciated. Thanks. I wouldnt mind having the incredible passer on my team ;)

we think differently.

You'll be surprised how useful defending is for wingers.

If they don't have any defending, other wingers will just walk straight through them and be able to get an attack. Even a small amount of def (ie adequate) will mean that unless the other player has solid+ tech, they will be tackled.

Out of all of your players, I'd say this one is about the best:

formidable stamina,
poor pace,
very good technique,
very good passing,
tragic keeper
average defender
formidable playmaker
average striker

Although he is stupidly slow.
