first off...

@cometer, it was 26-0 and then 27-1, the first ever goal scored against Poland =D

@NZ team, damn i had to recheck whether Bodger HAD gone up in form, his shooting was horrific.. also noted that Hird and Bodger were a bit hesitant to sheet on the outskirts of the box before the start, so got tackled.

Thought that tactic was brilliant in terms of possession, totally owned them. The defense did a pretty nice job too, keeping those marginal offsides going ;]

I'm pretty amazed at the high quality of coaches NZ manages to have too, except snowy =p i wonder who will go forward next season.. (Seca said he wasn't going to (?) bball is interested in denmark and maq has belgium)

hehe you should do some cross checking :p. I think you'll find it was 27 - 0 the first time and 26 - 1 the second time ;).

But yeah you got the first goal against Poland the 2nd time and I remember watching it.

i think you're the one that should do the back tracking =p, i remember it on the specific reason that both had 26 GD

@gibbage, Shadow is busy screwing around with Poland atm, besides he is weak with tactics!

@Maqoma, Grats on winning your first match in re-election! =]

Not to divert the quibbling, :D, but I enjoyed your match today Cometer. Was glad to see you get some kind of result - it was well deserved, and against a strong opponent.

The Australian side did a good job finding their winger, and the wingers did a pretty good job getting the ball into the box. A little unfortunate the strikers didn't get more heads to the crosses.

Was wondering whether it was going to come unstuck when they scored though. Still will be good when we get our full team back :).

WC Group compatriot Chile had a very nice result against Scotland today. Seemed Scotland was experimenting with a semi-press (not quite the full press Hungary was using last season). Didn't work out great for them, as Chile as able to "break" it several times and had some pretty high quality scoring chances.

Peru plays Canada today, tho it is U21 so there likely isn't much that can be gleaned from it.

I would like to see Barhilo have a go with the NT. I know he is the coach of the NT on Battrick, but he may not get that job again next season as there are heaps of good managers on that game that will probably be applying for the job next season.
That is of coarse if Seca dosnt change his mind and stay on as our coach. Hope he does but like i say Barhilo would be a good replacment
2007-07-15 02:22:46
agreed
2007-07-15 03:56:55
heehee

i've thought about that, but then i remember how much work it is on battrick and know it will be even more on sokker.

Add that to the qualification term going through my final exam time, i will be studying a lot and wont be coming on here, not to mention i'll be going on holiday for a month =p

After that there will be the WC term which the new coach qualified us for and its just unethical to take it then =]

I feel the love though!
2007-07-15 06:01:36
in that case i hope Seca sticks around
2007-07-15 06:27:26
so do i =]
2007-07-15 08:17:22
Yeap Seca you're forced to go for elections again! Why wouldnt you run for it again?

*me still waiting for Barhilo to be nt coach as well*

Pfft Barhilo as Nt coach, he couldnt even beat me in a friendly
