Subject: [NT] Copa América
dont forget thats how Atkinson got his assist ;P
Indeed. 4 New Zealand N-teamers took knocks today - Watts being the one with the highest profile.
Looks like he pulled a groin hoofing the ball upfield. Perhaps Mcoi needs some more rigourous warm-up exercises.
He'll miss Bolivia (no problem) and Colombia (more of a problem), but will be back for the first play-off match. Could have been worse. :)

Has Pollock played before? he seems slightly familiar but not too much. Snowy will be happy to see De Bruin get some game time again, dont think i've heard of Grove?
Nice to be trying out some new scalps though, liking your plan of future.... planning..

Pollock has played a couple of times. Lately he's been injured or in terrible form when I've looked to call upon him.
Groves was on the NT when I arrived, but has never had a cap (been in Taylor's long shadow). Welford is the better long term prospect and should be playing, but I've been feeling sorry for Groves.
I was initially really optimistic about De Bruin, but I think he went a season without much training - dampened my enthusiasm. I believe he has been getting some training again, but his chances of being a real impact player a now quite slim.

i still wonder if snowy regrets his mass exodus of NZ defenders... Thought Grove must've been old because Mohammad was a really early team that still sucked quite a lot
Wivak took round 1. Kind of limited as to what I can offer as a "prize" at the end - maybe something like the last contest (capping one of the winner's uncapped)???
New players welcome. :) Simply answer yes or no to each of the following propositions.
Came dangerously close to a tie last week - for tie-breaking purposes include your prediction for total goals scored in the game.
Bolivia
1. Bodger will score 4 or more goals.
2. Atkinson will have more assists then Matthews.
3. Pollock will score at least 1 goal.
4. Groves will have a clean sheet.
5. Tomlinson will have a "better" half then Richards (determined by the NT manager).
6. A corner kick goal will be scored by New Zealand.
7. A penalty kick will be converted by New Zealand.
8. New Zealand will have more injuries then Bolivia.
9. Bolivia will have a red card.
10. New Zealand will have a red card.

Certainly does. Any of the props where players are compared head-to-head have similar (if not the same) roles.
This week's tactic will be similar to last week's. In future weeks I won't be able to divulge this, because of the caliber of the opposition. :)

Underway against Bolivia.
Aside from tweaking forward positioning, it’s the same formation as last week. Perhaps the repetition will make New Zealand appear predictable in Colombia’s eyes. Perhaps, but not likely.
Against Canada Bolivia’s defense backed in. Last week against Colombia they tried to push out around midfield. Result was pretty much the same either way. Like Honduras, they don’t have a lot of firepower. New Zealand’s forwards are positioned somewhat aggressively - could be caught a little if Bolivia pushes out again..
Line-up as posted earlier in the week. Bodger takes both penalties and freekicks.
