Subject: England Users Number
I have heavily focused on training English players, to the detriment of my overall team. Will continue.
In my computer you are known as Sir Forestman. :)
I have done the same with strikers, but had to buy a foreign player lately - there are some around but nobody wants to sell.

The more people who shut their schools the worse the prices (will increase) and our NT will become. :(

For what it is worth, I am switching over to training English only players, preferably from my own youth school. I've hit a decent vein of 16-17 yr old trainees, including 3 possible long termers today.
I have some nice foreigners to offload shortly for a decent bunch of millions, and that cash will either be earmarked for domestic purchases, or sit somewhere earning loads of, uh, nothing. Offsetting weekly losses more likely..

It's not only the english community not growing. Germany had near 1200 users and now around 770, less than when I started out 3.5 years ago.
Belgium, Eesti , spain are even worse examples, thousands of users lost there. Its only poland, romania, turkey and brasil which grow atm.
"Less trainees will continue i feel, with the new youth system, but in theory they should be better, younger youths.
I also think more youths slip the net in lower divisions or abroad then we think. I have always advocated youth schools since i've been in the game and will continue to do so. Many IV teams are choosing high wage players and coaches and i think they are making a mistake.
I think a youth school doesn't have to be as expensive as some make out if it's managed properly. "
Yeah I strongly agree with what dj said.
I know there has been a thread around where users said new YS isnt worth the effort. I feel quite the opposite.
Hardly any overaged junior for me anymore and the younger they come, the easier it is to integrate them into some longterm training or sell them.
Due to the age being known now school has become much more profitable.
I believe you just dont have enough Ys open in general.

I agree, also I note that some feel that if you do not have enough to join the youth leagues then it is not worth it.....well I saw a youth sell for £2m the other day that had clearly not played any junior games.
When I started in 2007 I had a youth school and made profits on it with a Foridable YC to start with.
I like the new youth system, I just wish the start poiunt was known and that with Unearthly coaches you could see a more consistent rise of talent.
Our community neared the point of expansion at one stage - 682 active users. Now we are just about at 450 I think.

You can see the same discussion going on in many other countries. Well as long as a certain dev is in charge here, ignorance will continue to rule and thats the main issue sokker has to deal with.
Yep a known starting lvl would help and I agree with the unearthly coach, but I now I feel its not really neccessary. The real good juniors are now the same which we used the keep in the past.
Juniors who stay in school 12 to 20 weeks can still be recognised as talented if talent is below 4, even if they dont play. I had 2 or 3 examples on that.
Juniors with less than 12 weeks are usually the same we kept in the past , 16y( now we know at least) with decent start lvl. We very often didnt know their talent when they left and so not really anything has changed there. We still need to test their talent.
Main thing which really cuts costs is known age.
Other users might have similar rules on what to keep or sack:
20y juniors need to be brilliant to sell for decent money
19y juniors need to be incredible
18y at least outstanding
For 16y und 17y I find very often easy to integrate so lvl 7-8 is enough for me to keep them.
That was my experience in the past , but I wasnt really lucky with age or distribution.
I feel now I dont need to be that strict anymore, since I can read skills in junior matches so can easier see if its worth to keep a certain player or not.

Eesti you mean? Now we have around 550 users, I think the best we had several years and seasons ago was maximum 800, definitely not more. And as you can see having that amount of users is enough to have a world class national team in Sokker. Difficult to say the percentage of active users, who play this game seriously. I think it´s around 50% if you look at the number of users we have in junior leagues.
What worries me, that some of our top managers have closed their youthschool. As long as we keep all junior schools open, then we should be ok for several years.
The most important is to train local players. I have several young Estonians, which were bought, when they were 16 year old. Just bought another one. Also I train sideskills for our defenders. Would train only local players, but that would mean my team level would drop a lot. So can`t afford that. But right now I have only 3 foreign trainees if I remember correctly. Luckily we have several other managers, who concentrate on local players. Really important. Even an average player can become U21/NT if he is bit talented and gets proper long term training.
And about my junior school - I have had 30 places for several years. Always at least 24-25 juniors under. Their level doesn`t matter. Just trying to produce as many local players as possible. Because as I said even average joe can become U21 or NT player.

It is because the game never changes! It looks boring and at times it is boring!
How can they expect their "product" to develop if it doesn't improve? As far as I can see this game doesn't implement too many changes and then they are often a bit hit and miss (youth academy!)
And as someone that knows about design this site badly needs a makeover! I mean FFS we still have to press 2 login buttons - shoddy!

Tell you what then Jaize, you design one and I'll code it.

and do what with it? Have own own sokker game?
You might make a residual income from your own football management game I suppose. Dunno. Hadn't thought it through.
My only decent junior sale was the one the other day, havent sold a junior for anything near that much since my third season!!!
I had to shut, my team wasn't improving and the money wasn't good enough.
Will re-open once in III

Training only your juniors is the way forward I think. I've not bought a trainee def for some time now.
