Training only your juniors is the way forward I think. I've not bought a trainee def for some time now.

you may go straight back down again. (like me)

I have a couple that I am training, Coatsworth and Oulton. I wish I could pull another one. I am starting to see some nice talents coming through, one has had 3 wk pops 4 times on the trot. He comes out as a 17 yr old early next season....I so hope hes a striker trainee.

on average, every season i have 2 juniors worth keeping, and sell about 20, 15 because i dont train what they need, and 5 because they could be good income, that is my general polacy anyway.

Unfortunately, my only English prospect is this guy:

Kingsley Woolly, age: 18
club: Armitage Shanks, country: England
value: 78 750 £, wage: 705 £
outstanding form, adequate tactical discipline
height: 169 cm

adequate stamina unsatisfactory keeper
very good pace weak defender
adequate technique adequate playmaker
very good passing average striker

He's quite talented, but hardly awesome and didn't even come from my school.

Just haven't had anyone for seasons and seasons now that i can train :( i have a current 17yo oustanding with 10 weeks to go but that is all.

but you've got to have good enough youths. I've had an abysmal bunch for a number of seasons...

Thats not true you (your son or daughter0 sacked a Magical you had coming through. :(

This is an interesting thread. Im quite new to the game but loving it. Have spent 4 seasons in div 4 so far. I spend at least 2 hours a day looking through forums and players for sale (quite sad i know). I didnt realise how england club together to try and build a NT between them. I have an awful lot of mates that generally play football manager on the pc and hadnt ever thought of introducing them to this. Ill get some texts sent out and im sure i could find another 10 people to join (not many i know but if everyone done the same it would build up some serious english usage)

one of the biggest problems is the team assignment as new players have to wait before they get the team rather than being allowed right away and most never bother logging in to their team after failing to do so in the first couple of days
2010-07-02 23:48:21
please stay, we are lonely :(
2010-07-02 23:52:23
Thats not an issue as I am the Admin for England now and I do it most days so only match days and wednesdays I am not allowed to do it. ;)

I wish i could afford a better youth coach. I have 2 formidable youths that dont seem to pop any higher as my youth coach is only formidable
2010-07-03 00:53:07
i had worse than a youth coach when i had haylock in my team, i only has excellent, but i sold him for 1.5 million :)

that is by far much better than it used to be fair enough mate

however when people sign up for an online game most often than not want to get on right away and if they like it they will stay if not bugger off, not allowing them to have the team right away and do the checks later we may potentially be losing out on a fair amount of users whom once they sign up and made to wait may just find another online game to try out and stick with them

I have put that option forward before. maybe they will do something like that soon? Not sure, either way I am accepting teams as quickly as I can ..... most of the time anyway.
