Subject: England Users Number

2011-06-06 18:06:33
594 now, looking good :)

428..

Might explain the tumbleweeds.
2012-08-14 17:19:01
To be fair, there was less tumbleweed when he had about 30 users "back in the day".

I was looking through the forums the other day and the number of high profile [del] names is noticeable.

At this rate I might outlast everyone and make it to the Prem by default. Although the grave might beg to differ.. And the fact that I'm in Div IV.

The prem isn't as strong as it once was, the peak has gone. A fair few users only really appear around election times too.

My priorities have certainly changed in the last few seasons. Only English players now and 20 of those are from my youth squad.

I don't have particularly much use for money any more either, so my huge drop in fans (done to 1277 now) doesn't really mean anything. I could probably buy my way to II if I wanted, but I'd rather train a few decent players for the moment.

I wonder if the apathy co-incided with the new match engine?
2012-08-16 10:59:22
England needs to get its act together

To keep blaming the game - is a total waste of time imo

We could/should be a top Nation - but we most certainly are not (nowhere near)

England needs to get some enthusiasm going - to help all Clubs improve & compete much better in the future "in a friendly & encouraging environment"

It's actually a global level of apathy rather than just isolated to England.
2012-08-16 21:07:05
I honestly think the 3-D viewer is great. Makes the matches more interesting and exciting to watch.
2012-08-16 21:20:27
only if you have plus, and a super computer...
2012-08-17 07:15:28
heh yea.. USA is a ghost town now.
2012-08-17 09:44:21
What new match engine?
2012-08-17 09:47:43
btw that was an apathy based gag. I am aware of the new match engine. I am not yet aware of the differences. That's true apathy.

Issues for sokker is how to move with the times. It was started 8 years ago. Back then, sokker with its game visualisation was quite snazzy vs say hattrick - where you could actually watch games rather than text, but 8 years is a long time with relatively minor updates.

It doesn't have good / proper integration / access with mobile platforms (it's a bugger to use on my iphone and ipad), nor is it integrated in a true way with things like facebook.

And I agree with @gibbage, forums were busier when there were 30 of us. Mind you we did have woppa.....

Don't forget davidking!

In terms of community, it only takes a small amount of regular forum users to feel as if England in general is "buzzing".

Most of these guys have dropped off in terms of leaving completely or post much less. Just some names I can think of;

Redjim
Woppa
Ncn
Wdp
Daleg
Toonmac
Pilotfish(?)
Ken
Ecartman
Jpk
Steelers

There are loads more in the 5 years I've spent here.

Even ermejo and Phil are not that active here any more (and me).

You are the only one that has stuck around gibbage!
