Subject: England Users Number
That's been my tactics since about 2008 ;)
I watched the 3D viewer for the 1st time this season this week. Hate it. Much prefer 2D - really hard to see what is happening as it pans around.

can I get an opinion from ppl with plus ...I want to know if there is improvement in diferent cameras...or maybe someone can record a match with diff cams...
these should suffice... go through both and you should have a pretty good idea what the 3d viewer is like with plus...

with regards to users, I after some persuading got a couple of m8s to sign up for accounts at work the other day only for them to be denied accounts.. needless to say thats it for them they will not bother trying again sadly....
my point is how many genuine accounts get denied for no reason than over trigger happy mods? I think this is therefore costing us our userbase I can only assume based on my office that this happens to lots of people each month.
fyi...
(my work has over 20000 active accounts (staff and students) which access the internet through a proxy via 1 single IP address which is then connected to janet (uni networks) and as such is used by over a hundred universities) which could mean hundred of thousands of students and staff who could be possible members here are not getting accounts..
my question is, if they are all being denied accounts because they access via janet then you are loosing a lot of potential players. And that is just one senerio it was the same when i worked at pfizer in 2006, and that one site employed several thousand people before it closed down.

THx ...to get back to the topic...
Looking at the forum you could say that ppl from england are not playing manager games ...well wrong...
These are some stats from competitive games (taken when this is posted)
Hattrick: Out of 10 920 teams and 7 905 active users, 202 are logged in (only England Users)
Trophy manager: English teams - 39.366 - lots of active users,
And the list can go on...so the only reason why this is happening to sokker is because of devs...
1. They dont know how to promote the game online in England and other countries.
2. They dont know how to make appropiate money out of ads and facebook.
3. They dont offer a friendly UI and the plus options are poor so ppl dont buy plus.
4. Because of no money the development is very slow...
As a result of the above sokker is going down...its active user list is dropping and in time ppl will forget even about logging in to set tactics => 100% botts...I think they want that.
Need to say that the 2 examples above are of manager games with no graphical match display but they are working on it. Trophy will release theirs next season and Hattrick is at design state. Sokker could have killed these games in users by now if it was promoted properly.

HT users are well down from peak levels. I think peak was circa 11k as there was the extra level introduced (which then got removed). Don't know about trophy manager though.
There is also a 5th point to add to your 4 though which kind of brings them all in together - the main dev has never properly saught help on any of things (and generally doesn't accept it anyway!).

On a side note...I am paying around 5 USD for 1000 banner impressions on trophy manager (just for impresions from Romania) because they have the advertising sorted out... wrote an e-mail to sokker as well...guess what ...no answer...so...they dont want money or they want it as a donation...never going to happen.
The match is late again...+ 90...common ...

In order for stuff to improve the game has to be run as a business, it is still pretty much a hobby than anything at the moment.
It is run like a business, just like a lifestyle business
Yeah...Btw I saw we have a full bots league IV...while other leagues have 4-5 human players...its a bit unfair to get stuck in league IV while bots are promoting....
Yes and No.
When sokker first started we moaned on that. All users were in III.01 and III.02 (I was in the same league as mcoi for example). So only 1 team could promote each season, whilst III.16 was empty.
However the reason that this is done is to try to make things fun. If the original 16 of us had been spread across the 16 leagues we would have all got promoted (probably) but might of got bored. I kind of agree now, with hindsight. Although did give mcoi a pretty easy run for the first Premiership (he only had 1 other human, and wolfman frankly was a bit pants).

Down to 339 users.....
What worries me more is that the forums are near dead....apart from the nt election banter. We have, over the last 18months, lost many active users and haven't had that many replacements.
I know that I have been a poor forum user at times so am trying to be more active....but I guess issue is more down to lack of new users and new blood

Aye, it's getting stagnant. Even if they make minimal changes to the youth setup it'll inject some love again. For me at least.
As for the forums and said before; just doesn't have the camaderie of a few active users supplying the banter. It only requires half a dozen of those 300 odd to give the impression the forums are 'active' as it'll encourage the casual user to get involved too.
