Ah, this point you are wrong on. Coaches do retire.

When you sack coaches normally they go on the coach transfer list. However, not always, as some of them simply retire rather than go on that list. They don't retire whilst employed though.

So, they don't actually retire then :)

Please tell me you've been through all your youth pulls looks for a solid+ stamina :)

They do retire.

In real life (although law is about to change but I'll disregard for this example) you can be sacked upon turning 65. So what you are saying is that if you no longer work after that, you haven't retired you were just sacked?

I can't be bothered to look through my juniors though!

You'd be wasting your time!

I'm not saying they get sacked, i'm saying if you keep them they can't retire at any age (at the moment) therefore they don't strictly retire.
well, here's Terence Raine - Unearthly junior in the end. stamina and keeper were a bit high, but he's definitely trainable in technique and pace.

Terence Raine, age: 18
club: Norwich City Nil, country: England
value: 124 800 £, wage: 1 500 £
very good form, tragic tactical discipline
height: 179 cm

weak stamina weak keeper
solid pace solid defender
very good technique very good playmaker
average passing excellent striker

They were a bit high but it could have been much worse imo. I have seen good keeper and stamina before and that would have killed him......he is a lovely youth pull imo. Congrats.
2011-01-20 09:18:28
What you going to do with him, train or sell?
2011-01-20 09:23:59
2 million for him?
2011-01-20 09:27:14
Will probably train in tech for the time being, and see where that leads. One thing that did disappoint though, is that he had 4.5 ratings in youth matches for MID and DEF, but 2.5 ratings for ATT. And then he comes out an ATT. Continuity error there dev team !

That's a ton of skill points... very nice pull.
2011-01-20 10:51:07
As recently as 2 seasons ago, I would have ripped your arm off for 2 million, and replaced my ageing defence with a, well, slightly less ageing defence. But I think I can make him a u-21 striker. Either way his value his only going up with more training.
2011-01-20 11:15:00
I think he should be trained as a mid. ;)
2011-01-20 11:21:51
so does shearer :). I have a couple of midfielders who badly need technique training for about a season I reckon, then I suppose I could move into passing ? It'll be inconvenient, but I could give it a crack I suppose...
2011-01-20 11:32:14
Imo he needs a bout of passing and then a mix of pm, tech, pace etc thereafter. Sorry if thats not what you want to hear....anyway hes your player and you get to decide what happens. :)

So the NT coach says "you could take a hit for your club to make him a U-21 midfielder, or you could just mess him up. Up to you...". In a public forum. Cheers ! :)...

Ouch you said that to yourself? You are the NT coach for u21. ;)
