Magical coach eh, he must be pretty crippling?

I figured it was the right time - I've had 24+ juniors in the school since the start of the season.

I got my guy through the recruitment tool - wage seems ok?

Clayton Sellwood, age: 37
wage: 23 955 £
club: Busby`s Babes, country: England
magical coach
Training effectiveness:
magical of stamina, outstanding of keeper
magical of pace, unearthly of defender
unearthly of technique, magical of playmaker
unearthly of passing, unearthly of striker

Besides, with the stadium upgrade I'm turning in a 50k profit over a 2 week period.

nice wage

Nice wage, and good idea if you're turning that sort of profit...i'm guessing you don't have amazing assistants or something as i am nowhere near turning a £50k fortnightly profit?!

Funny you should mention assistants - I've been thinking about upgrading them.

Currently have: excellent/excellent/formidable - total wages under 14k.

But don't want to waste a fortune for only a minor improvement in pops. What are your levels/salaries like? if much better have you noticed any improvement in pops?

I spend about 60k on my assistants

but I've never noticed an improvement in training when improving coaches

all the changes were incremental though

Improvements in assistant coaches take a while, for you to notice any difference. I have 2 incredible and 1 brilliant assistants. In the long term they will make a big difference, which will lead to more pops. Any improvement you can afford is worth it!

In my opinion you have to look at assistant upgrades in the same as stadium ones; they are long term. I spend £26k~ on 2x outstanding, 1x formidable and i don't notice the "improvement" either. There is one, but it's so minimal when upgrading that unless you track it, you don't appreciate it.

Any improvement you can afford is worth it!

Unless the extra spent on wages isn't reflected in increased training speeds that turn a faster/higher profit and recoup the increased cost.

I'm starting to think it's worth an unearthly junior coach, as the prices are ridiculous for juniors so you might as well maximise training.

Head coach - unearthly all over or thereabouts is nice...

But the assistants... Wages at higher levels really start to jump. Say going from formidable to magical, you're looking at perhaps a £17.5k increase in wages, per assistant. That's £840k extra a season. What I'm not convinced about is whether that's really worth it in terms of any increase in training.

Yeah i see where your coming from, I wouldn't go higher than what i have now. I have been trying to get an unearthly youth coach for a while now. I am still considering buying one, instead of using the skill select. What assistants do you have?
2009-02-24 23:49:41
All magical.
2009-02-24 23:55:59
Lol do you still make a tidy profit?
2009-02-25 00:01:44
Depends on who I sell ;-)
On trainees, yes.
On my TL doings, rarely...

I mean from your sponsors etc...
