Subject: Future Star Pulls

2009-04-09 13:10:28
I think I've got 1 million+ on a youth only twice from selling.

i've yet to break 300,000 from selling a youth :(

My Magical sold for 700k, I'd expect yours would go for slightly less due to his poorer skill distribution. Mine was low in pace only which made him a little attractive...even if old. lol

he has a really good talent, and looking at his skills i think he is close to popping in a couple of them as his total skills are not that high for a magical i think. since i'm training a season each of passing/playmaking/pace i figure i'll keep him. it means all 5 of my reserve trainees will be sub 4 talent, and 3 of them will be just 18 at the next update.

Sounds the best idea to me, good luck with him anyway. ;)

If it makes you feel any better, I wish I'd kept both players. One of them was Samuel Ellard, who was in HellsAngels' team. Another good one was Quentin Reddicliffe, he's a magical defender or something now, only got 300k or so for him.

I have updated this weeks pulls and added Felix Crowle who came out pretty perfectly for a striker trainee.

Any new ones to add guys?

Updated this week and added Mogadong's midfieler pull.

Week 6 - season 20 - adam heppenstall - armitage shanks - brilliant yc - 3.x - brilliant/magical

My first pull above incredible.
2009-04-16 10:52:42
week 5 - season 20 - Anwar Rivett - Busby's Babes - Magical YC - 3.5 - outstanding+

@ DJ - that may be true, but you haven't fared too badly ;)
2009-04-16 10:57:21
Not too badly, but i've had gash for a long time now. I prefer talented players that can be 17 rather than higher pulls that i will probably be screwed on age wise.
2009-04-16 11:04:32
Agreed on that.

My great hope is Wally Widdup (talent 3.33 so far) - will probably come out Magical+1 or 2 and could be 17

However, based on recent experience is more likely to 19 and an extremely fit goal scroring keeper!

Brilliant+3 Talent = 3.65

Roland Elston, age: 17 12978422

club: Finchley Baboons, country: England
value: 97 200 £, wage: 1 230 £
very good form, tragic tactical discipline

average stamina poor keeper
poor pace excellent defender
excellent technique adequate playmaker
unsatisfactory passing solid striker

Very pleased about the age (since he started at 29 weeks), but not quite sure what to do with..

Wow thats a really nice pull! ;)

IMO he needsto go to a defence trainer, I think he could interest a certain Wolves fan, Mr Cartman. Thats if you cannot train him of course?

i dont know, a pace trainer could turn him into a lovely striker trainee...
2009-04-23 12:38:56
In all honesty we need some defenders trained up, hes 2 levels higher in that already. He'll be more valuable as a defender trainee at a later date imo and will have more chances to be U21.

We actually have a nice healthy bunch of 17 yr old strikers now. ;)

Well, I'm currently training pace, but was only planning another few weeks, then I was going to swap to tech then striker - but I wanted to hang fire on deciding until I saw how Elston came out.

I doubt it can hurt to give him pace until the start of the silly season (I'd guess he'd be worth as much as an 18 year old with another level of pace if I decide to sell him) - which gives me time to ponder and decide whether/what to train him myself, or take the money and run...

So ideas definitely welcome.
