Subject: Future Star Pulls

Well, I'm currently training pace, but was only planning another few weeks, then I was going to swap to tech then striker - but I wanted to hang fire on deciding until I saw how Elston came out.


I doubt it can hurt to give him pace until the start of the silly season (I'd guess he'd be worth as much as an 18 year old with another level of pace if I decide to sell him) - which gives me time to ponder and decide whether/what to train him myself, or take the money and run...

So ideas definitely welcome.

Incidentally - if he would seriously be in the frame as a U21 DEF then I'm quite happy to do what's best for the U21 team (whether that's selling or doing it myself)....

Well imo he currently has more chance if trained as a defender than as a striker, but I am not going to try and sway you on a player that you have pulled. The final decision really must be yours. ;)

Congratulations anyway, 3.65 talent with an Incredible Youth Coach is nice talent.

the reverse is not true

It depends actually on what he is trained in as I know somebody who does passing with their defence training....so there. lol

he would still be punting it into row z for season after season while you wait for the bloke to fit the passing training around the defender training.

give the boy pace though and he is a decent striker trainee.

Ah, but what if that trainer would be doing pace training for the season anyway, it would allow the trainer to train the player for a season with no real loss to the players striker prospects, obviously I've got no idea of what the user wdp is talking about has in mind for the player ;)

I have decent passers that still punt it into the non existent fans. ;)
