Subject: Future Star Pulls

2009-07-23 21:54:33
the future is unknowable

we do have these complete pops to work with

--/---/--/

how you add this to 3.5 I don't know - you seem to just be saying it's 3.5 unless I see consecutive pops - thats just some rule you made up - I prefer maths. 10/3 = 3.333333
2009-07-23 21:56:25
Well that`s just the way it is:)
2009-07-23 21:56:37
Could it not be 4/4/3 though?
2009-07-23 21:56:49
mate

will do when i get a chance, only have 3 prospects coming up really and 1 is not that taleneted
2009-07-23 21:57:25
Thats fine mate, thanks. :)
2009-07-23 21:57:59
could what?

he actually popped /--/---/--/ didn't he? so no, if I understand your question
2009-07-23 22:00:27
Yes, 3.5 is the worst his talent could be based on the pops seen.

I have no idea why Vilpu feels 3.5 is the talent that should be recorded, I guess he is a pessimist.
2009-07-23 22:02:01
quick rules of thumb are good until you take them to be more accurate than the actual maths
2009-07-23 22:10:19
I have had a player before that popped 3,4,4 thats all I meant. For the good of England I'd love him to be 3.5 and less. ;)

My initial thought in honesty was 3.5 as generally I have found my pulls 90% of the time have been 3.5 when they have popped 3,4?
2009-07-23 22:15:26
probably true

but 3,4,4 is 11/3=3.66 though and unlikely to get back to 3.5 with a double 3 pop later
2009-07-23 22:15:43
He has popped 3,4,3 though so there is more chance of less than 3.5 talent than more than 3.5 talent.
2009-07-23 22:17:18
That`s not logical at all.
Any time I can make same screenshot from 3.5 popper.
2009-07-23 22:20:02
Having looked at the graph again I agree, 3.5 is the maximum he could be. Any player I have had thats had full pops of 3,4,3 is usually 3.5 in my experience but I hope I am wrong. :)

I cannot remember his youth coach but I have a feeling its Magical and f thats the case then talent is below 3.5 in any case. lol
2009-07-23 22:21:38
I assume these players are in the school > 10 weeks and thats the best graph you can possibly create for your 3.5 week popper.

In this case however I think he can have only been in the junior school for 10 weeks due to his age. His talent could be 3.1-3.6 I believe based on the pops shown, you can't say with any certainty at all what his talent is, if you claim you can you are wrong!
2009-07-23 22:23:12
Sorry but he cannot be 3.6 even, not with full pops of 3,4,3. It has to be a maximum of 3.5, and besides I think he has a Magical coach so its lower in any case. :)

This is where i don't know if mathematics comes in to play or Sokker's wonderful talent calculations, or even if they are the same thing (sub levels?).

As i understand it - and please correct me wrong for those who have the experience - a player who pops 3-3 and then 4, will have to then pop in 3 weeks twice again before popping in 4, continuing the cycle.

I am starting to think Vilpu may be right, because i thought the length of the first 3 pop determines talent, so in this case (just one 3 pop = 3.5~ talent).

I am also basing this on players in my youth school, 2 of which popped in 3 weeks in their first full pop, but have then gone 4-4; the next 3 pop will close the cycle and that will continue, am i right?
