Wow, my team cost just over £2.3m when i was in III. Wonder what it is now...

Mines about 11m but if I sold the lot think I would make slightly more than that ;)

BTW it's interesting, but pointless exercise.

A team could buy loads of 35yo mega players, each for £1m, with 1st team cost of £11m, but would have to keep spending that every 2 seasons..... or someone could buy the same players aged 25 and keep them for 10 years - maybe though with team cost of £50m. Roughly same average cost per season tho....

Also if gibbage sold his youths today and bought exact replica players he could suddenly add another £10m+ to his costs.....

anyhow, my worry is that the team I bought + money in the bank is MUCH less money than the total historical value that my team used to have.....shows I'm going dahn-hill...

Not really a pointless exercise. Generally speaking the more you have spent on your squad the more progress you have made. Unless you get really lucky with youth pulls, or do things out of the norm like buy all 30+yo's or go for juniors in team only.

It would be interesting to see it with average age though too.

Not too shabby really, have spent more money on youth products though so investment in the future for me.

Don't think mine cost too much, around 20M at a guess.

A lot of my players are long-term trainees who cost peanuts.

As per Danvan's arguement against forestman...how much did your first team cost you in transfer sales alone? All original squad members and youth pulls count as zero!

Are you a patient youth schooler or do you train the young bargains, or do you try and buy success like forestman and co? :D

I'll make a table by Series to see who is uber tight and who is mega rich!

Just over £5m down on squad from back in the day.

My reserves is a whole different ball game though as pretty much all of them are own juniors.
