general question...

Would you keep a junior who will promote at Good and with a minimum age of 18, but has a talent of better than 4?
2009-02-16 14:48:15
Better than 4 talent, could be 18 and good could be alreet?

Why yes i would
2009-02-16 14:52:04
i would yes, but he must have started seriously low level to be Good after more a minimum of 21 weeks but have sub 4 talent. surprised you kept him when you got him, but since you've kept him you might as well promote him
2009-02-16 14:53:08
Cheers, was just deciding whether it was worth spending the £9k it'll cost to promote him
2009-02-16 14:58:17
hmm... 9k still? not sure i would bother then personally - not at 18 min age
2009-02-16 15:04:45
He did.

Last season I had a re-think about juniors and started keeping all my new youths who could promote good or better if they had great talent (unless I hit 30 spaces - then I sacked them).

The guy in question came in hopeless 22, which will take him through 2 age updates - but he's popped 4,3, so far.

I've now got 3 youths in junior school with talent below 4, who using the my old criteria (must enter school weak or better, unless could be 16) I'd have sacked straight away. One will promote formidable, the other two excellent.
2009-02-16 15:07:14
he's only gone through one age update so far, but he won't promote until next season.

He has cost me £4.2k so far, so it would be £13.2k in total
2009-02-16 15:21:49
I would keep him, but only because he is talented. 4 or above and i would get rid. If is going to be useless 95% of the time but it won't hurt promoting him.
2009-02-16 18:26:04
whats hes name..
2009-02-16 18:32:09
promote him and if hes 18, i will give you 10k for him.. and if you want to keep him thats ok .. that way you can`t lose ..
but if hes 19 or 20 them i don`t want him

i will take a chance on a player under a 4 week popper
2009-02-16 18:32:27
Who's name - the guy who could be 18 with sub-4 talent? ...Terence Utting
