Take a bit more than that to "upset" me. I was borderline sacking him, the hope isn't that he will sell for a lot, more that someone will it him, train him and sell him at 22 so I get a nice sell on fee.

Anyway, he didn't sell, I'm hardly surprised, and now he's in the bin.

The sell on fee isn't something I ever think about. But, maybe I should take that into consideration ...

to find the talent make some maths...for example:

Player joined as average [5]...after 16 weeks he is outstanding [12] - 12-5 = 7...so 7 pops in 16 weeks. That is an average pop time of 2.28...which means he is a supper talent...Good talented players pop between 2 and 4 weeks.

Showing a talent of a player

Wherever there's a gap after the [ then it must be closed to generate the link when using code.

Right first you need a photobucket account or something similar Link

To link your own player or anyone else's, you need to use this code: [ pid=Your own players id]Then you can put your players name here or anything else you wish to write[/pid]

So that's [ pid=123456]Dixie Chick[ /pid] When you do it correct this should happen Dixie Chick

To link the talent:

First you need to create a photobucket account or something similar. Next you need a plus account or use a program like appolo or sokker viewer

Then once you get a decent talent on either a player or junior you need to print screen it. With the print screen button on your keyboard :) Then you need to open the print screen in paint and go to edit and paste. This should then bring up the print screen of your talent :) Then you can edit it in any way you want etc.... Right now save your print screen as a JPG. if it doesn't come under the files they give you to save under, then don't panic. it will most likely want you to save it under a BMP. Now don't do this as it take ages to upload. just delete it and put talent1.jpg etc.... as long as it haves .jpg after it then it will save as a jpg. :)

Now it is uploaded they will give you the url for your picture. This is the code you need to use to link url's:

[ url=Your url]Talent of player[/ url]

So that's

Link to sokker

[ url=http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc152/DLRSpare2000/picturename.jpg]Pace Talent[ /url]

Pace Talent

Hope this helps.

is this indicative of a player to keep an eye on or is it too early to call? Oh and btw he's 18. got 22 weeks left so will leave when he's 19.

i'm new at this youth school thing so not sure whats good talent, or good age to keep in school...

Looks very good talent although low levels at present, shame he'll be 19. Be interesting to see progress when he reaches level 10+. Youth team is a bit of a gamble anyway but I wish you all the best with him.
2013-06-12 23:57:30
UUU...looks promising :)

Peter Brill 16 solid [8] outfield 24 (+1) 17

please pop in 3 weeks ...

Gregory Akrill 18 incredible [13] outfield 3 18

At last! I've got a really good crop of youngsters coming through at the end of the season. It's been seasons since I had a break with my youth team. My 1st team is getting old and I've only had 2 talents come through in the last 4 seasons.

Now though, if everyone continues to pop at the same rate, I'll have 1 excellent 16yo (Talent 4), 1 excellent 18 yo (Talent 4.5), 1 incredible (Talent 3.5), & 1 outstanding (Talent 4) both 19yo.

I have a general question?

If I have a 16 yr old in my youth school but who has loads of weeks before graduating to the main team. What's the worst "assessed overall" skill I should bother keeping? Because firstly, he's young and secondly he will receive a lot of training from the youth school before graduating?

Thanks.

just think of it like this, assume they have the best possible talent, then think of how many levels they would pop with that before leaving. If it isnt worth the money, then you should sack them because they probably dont even have the bast talent.

On another subject, my very first juniors graduated today. Not great player. although i wasnt really expecting anything superb, i was hoping to be surprised...

Apparently, a "good" junior. looks more like weak to me though.

Ernest Scratch, age 16
value: 13 200 £
wage: 345 £
very good [9] form
height: 170 cm, weight: 70.1 kg,
BMI: 24.24

tragic [0] stamina hopeless [1] keeper
average [5] pace tragic [0] defender
tragic [0] technique tragic [0] playmaker
good [7] passing tragic [0] striker

This one was solid. If only he was 16, he'd probably have sold for up to 100k. As it stands, i'd be lucky to get 1k i think.

Nobby Shopland, age 17
value: 15 750 £
wage: 360 £
very good [9] form
height: 172 cm, weight: 68.5 kg,
BMI: 23.16

poor [3] stamina tragic [0] keeper
average [5] pace hopeless [1] defender
hopeless [1] technique average [5] playmaker
average [5] passing weak [4] striker

I would have sacked him the day he entered my school; max age and will only make it to formidable at the very best and be 19 when pulled i.e. worth very little in the market.

[edit; i'm talking about the graph of the player you posted on the 10th June]
(edited)
On the back of that, and in answer to tcd's question, i too would follow a similar guide as to what you suggested to him; however you don't appear to be following your own advice! :)

I have tried (and failed) to explain the rules i go by when deciding to keep or sack youths at different periods in the school. I will have another go soon.
2013-06-20 15:52:08
yeah, i know. i dont strictly follow my advice, mainly cause this is my first season with an open junior school, so theres that eagerness to promote junior especially as they came into the school with around 5 to 7 weeks to go so i thought i'd just keep them. Noww my next potential junior isnt due for 15 weeks and thats him:

Pete Metson 16 very good [9] outfield 15 Reject

i think i'll keep him. with decent talent and a lucky skill distribution he could be worth alot in the market when he comes out at 17 years old.
