Knowing your role in advance is important but also preparation is very important to avoid any unwanted pulls.
I think it's also important to pay due attention to past performers for inspiration when it come to the younger generation that are forcing their way in. Far to often youngersters seem to have a rush of blood and lash at it in panic when it could be eased or even stroked into position and that's before we even get to finishing, it's far better to shoot on target then end up hitting somebody watching in the face.
