Subject: Youth school
From what you've said, it seems as though your financial problems have stemmed from a failure to train players long-term, and having spent far too much on assistant coaches. If it's a choice between:
Three incredible/brilliant assistants @ ~£15k per week (total £45k)
OR
Three excellent/formidable assistants @ ~£5k p/w (£15k)
One incredible/brilliant youth coach @ ~£15k p/w
25 spaces in the youth school @ £15k p/w
Then the latter gets my vote. Improving the assistants beyond formidable is a luxury IMO. Proper training, over time, provides a steady source of income - which can be used to subsidise dry spells in the youth school.
If you're genuinely sick of the y/s then cut it completely. Running it on a minimal budget only seems worthwhile if you'll produce a few youths for your own training - to maximise selling potential you want the best youth coach you can afford. You could cut all 18 and 17yo and see if you pick up some decent 16yo though?

i don't need to pull one every week - the £32k is the average cost per youth pulled, based on number in the school and number of weeks they are in. some weeks it costs me money, other weeks i make it back with interest.
i make around £30k a fortnight profit on my basic income vs costs. i tend to go fully in to debt when i buy new players but recover it over the season.

I recently dumped a magical coach so I would run approximately breaking even
It's the top end coaches not the youth school that are the luxuries
The difference between 3 incredible assistants and 3 magical is probably too small to find even with serious analysis. Apart from the wage differences - those are glaring.
A magical+ youth coach? That's for when you have nothing else to spend on really, although I have one for the pathetically small chance it will mean I get a high talent divine youth instead of a high talent magical....
hmmm.... never had better than brilliant anyway. If I don't see the fans mood improve I may downgrade

I have 2 x unearthly coaches + 3 x brilliant assistants and 30 places in my youth school; can't imagine why I haven't made a 2 week profit in seasons!
However I have no stats as to whether or not my youth school works, but since my 2 best players are home grown and my cash floats between 1-2 million through a season, I guess it produces enough to keep me afloat... probably.
If only I was as anal as the statmonkeys out there...

TBH I think you can make just as much money short term training, than long term training.
I agree with everything else.
Although I've had a magical YC for ages now.

I wouldnt recommend less than an incredible youth coach, to get decent results.
About weekly profits or even in 2 weeks....I have 5 magical coaches, I think I had in 3 years sokker 2 weeks that I had a profit. My weekly losses were usually between 30 000 $ and 90 000 $
Never had money issues anyway. My stadium and team looks better than many other teams who started around same time.
Depends all how one plays sokker, in my case I simply do more sales than other teams.

Hi mate
With an incredible YC and 20 spaces I'll lose £19k a week.
Not bad really and ill still make a small profit on home games.

Hi,
I loose 90 000 $ atm each week, all included.
So if I can still afford my youth school you can propably too:)

I thought so too when I upgraded my 3 incredible assistants to 3 magical ones.
I assumed maybe a 7 % gain in training effect.
Now I think I wont ever fire my 3 magical ones for 3 incredible.

I would agree with this statement if one trains only striker or goalkeeper. For so few trainees its not worth to have better assitants than formidable.
I would allready say for 10 trainees assistants as good as incredible are fine.
And if one trains pace and has lots of young and talented players , better than incredible is absolutely worth it. At least my personal experience.
With pacetraining one has a lot of tranfsers with shortterm and long term training, quite easy to make profits.(about 60 weeks pace I did so far since I play sokker)

Ouch
I was losing around £40k a week and now I'm struggling to keep up with it.
That's why I need to change something, but cutting the costs down on assitants has saved me a lot.
