Yes, actually the top 10, the GK is OK.

None of the rest will be worth anything come promotion, so seems a waste of a space in your school.

If I pull out of my youth league can I still keep my youth school open and will my youth school trainees still get training even without ever playing matches? Will the only downside be that I lose out on the money I get for each youth school match?

Yes to all of that. And the fact you'll have no idea of their skill/talent.

I don't participate in the junior league, other than a trivial loss of revenue not noticed any difference at all.

That's good to know as I'm considering dropping out so that I don't have to maintain 11 players just in order to play league games.

I read about that recently. Interesting tact. You obviously feel the like of knowing anything about the junior on promotion day is more exciting than being confused about it.

I am relatively sure that the levels I can see in my junior squad are little, to no different from what they would be if I was using them in the junior league:
