Subject: Elections General Discussions

rtg [del] to All
It is election time again! You now have the opportunity to stand for election as the national team coach (either Senior or U21) of any nation and vote a Senior and U21 manager for your own nation.

To access the election page, go to the respective country homepage and then click on National Team and then Elections.

If you stand for election, it is recommended that you open ONE thread in the appropriate country forum after the elections start. Please prefix your thread with [NT] or [U21], e.g. [NT] Ferguson or [U21] Ancelotti.

Please do NOT spam forums, SK-mail people directly for votes or spam users Guest Books.

Any of these activities will result in forum banning and/or a financial fine.
Please remember that a user who has been elected as an NT manager will not be able to resign from their job. Therefore when you stand for the NT job, it is not only for fun, it is also your responsibility to serve the full term which the community have voted you in for.

Elections will start on the 29th of March and end on 11th April @ 22:12 so start preparing your speeches, asking candidates tough questions and of course most importanty voting!

-As usual, candidates are not allowed to write in other candidates thread;

-Use this thread for general discussion or asking questions of other candidates;

-Bumping your own thread is not allowed. I will bump every election thread after the first week and a few days before the end to make everyone’s election thread visible;

-Vote request or election spam through SK mail is an automatic forum ban for the election period, so if you receive some, keep the mail and forward it to your local friendly neighbourhood mod or admin ;)

I can't see the point of this thread. Becuase I am quite simple in nature, and find it quite difficult to keep more than one thought in my head at any given time, I find it much easier to read something, click on "Reply", and then type in my answer to the thing I have just read. Now, I am told, I have to read the thing I wish to reply to, trot over to the circa 1998 forum software, find the discussion thread (which will probably be on page 5 in two days time because of its pointlessness), and then try to remember what I wanted to say - which will be missed by the person I am replying to because they are expecting a reply on the thread that they typed in what they wanted to say.

It's Arbitrary. It's Pointless. You're Scottish. Remind you of anything ?

Glad you took it well, I got a bit animated there :)

im fine with it - far too busy seperating a potential fight in Wales. This is great fun!

I'm not being funny mate (you're great, and everything) but you've pretty much spoiled the whole election thing for most people in England. Was there really any need to be quite so strict with the rules?
2010-03-29 16:00:57
Ooh ! Fight ! On day one ! Is it one of those Harry Hill things ?
2010-03-29 16:01:25
im not being strict with the rules buddy.

Lets put it simply - if you stand for election then you cannot post in the other members election thread. This is to

a) let the English community clearly see the other candidates answers
b) stop you (or another candidate) from muddying the waters.

If a candidate has a question to ask of another candidate its easy - come in here and post here the question.

Being strict would have been to ban people which i intend not to do in here at all, unless totally necessary.

I agree that my 100% winning season has alot to do with being in a quite easy II series, but saying that I still have a higher average rating than any of the teams in your II. I am not saying that i would have won the league, in my series i only had to change tactics twice as i knew my team was very strong compared to the others. But I also had my main striker out for nearly half the season due to injuries. And i did beat EMC when he was at his strongest before he sold all his players, and he was in the premiership and former cup winners.

And im now in the Premiership and your not, so put that in your pipe and smoke it!! ;)

Had I (or Cartman for that matter) been in that II, I (he) would be in the Premiership now :)

I have deleted the above, your request will not be granted fully as that seems a little OTT, however he shall not bother you again. ;)

Edit: having looked I will pass this on to rtg as it is a conflict of interest for me.....I need to be fair. :)
