dylanos [del] to All
ok this is almost over but since I clearly have enough (too much) time on my hands I am standing for election as NT candidate for England :-)

I have played Sokker for 10 seasons now, and only twice finished lower than 2nd - after i immediately promoted after 1 full season, and in mys first season when i came straight back up to III again. I have just promoted to II after an unbeaten season in one of the toughest III divisions. A dodgy training program (not an issue in NT) and until recently no youth luck is I believe all that has stopped me from getting to II sooner.

Although I often play the same tactic, this is because I have kept a fairly static team and know my opponents well enough to have built something that works for my players and worked in my division; in RL teams do pretty much the same. Where necessary I have been able to come up with winning alternatives such as my first match against Alkerton this season where injuries and suspensions had left me without a strike force. Use of conditional orders allowed me to win when a man down against my title rivals.

I'm a (probably too) regular member of the forums, and have good communication with most of the english community; I like a bit of banter too as even at NT level we should be having a laugh since it is a game. As well as posting insightful and humorous ;-) pre and post match commentary, I will involve the community through forum competitions etc. I will be happy to take advice from more experienced managers, use scouts if people would like to get involved, and plagiarise Phil’s and ermejo’s tactics if they look like they do what I want!

VOTE FOR DYLANOS – THE ONLY SERIOUS CANDIDATE NEVER TO HAVE FAILED TO WIN A WORLD CUP!

is this the only reason youre apllying for NT manager? or is there something else youre aiming for. i mean IMO, theres no point being manager, just because you have too much time. so what do you think? :)

no of course not, but it is important to have enough time to properly commit to the job.
my aim is to test my skills as a manager with the best players england has to offer, and take the team through the next qualifiers. after that if elected again i'll obviously set my sights on a world cup final and ultimately victory.

ok, just wanted to be sure :)

Okay Dylanos, whats your record against the other two canidates who have failed to win a world cup?

Hmm... I have always noticed that you seem to have a good knowledge of the top quality English players. You always seem to be involved in the relevant threads... Add that to your experience of the game, I think you'll make a great NT manager!

You have my vote

Are you serious about running this time round ...or is this more of a marker for the next elections?
2010-04-10 15:15:26
Groan, another non-serious canidate? Surely not?
2010-04-10 16:17:04
i am serious - i would like to go for it this time, but if i don't win i will run again in 2 seasons time (assuming whoever wins gets through the qualifiers) - thing is then wdp74 will be running for full NT and I believe he deserves it... so its now or 4 seasons time. i was going to wait until next season and run for the U21 but i think i would be better suited to the full NT

i have never played the other 2 in a fair competitive game, so there is no record. it was a jokey way of pointing out i've never had a go, but then again i've never failed.
2010-04-10 17:02:58
Strange you've gone for such a late stab at the job. Is this so i don't get a chance to rib you? Having just got to II, do you simply think you'll have the brains to play against some of the best managers in the game?
2010-04-10 17:10:42
haha actually i didn't realise until i went to apply just how late i've left it. i've kept myself out of II in part by having a weak training program due mostly to sentimentality over 2 of my original players. i have outplayed teams that are stronger than me on paper, and promoted from a very tough II. i think my tactical ability is sound, and know i can show some inspiration with the countries top players to design tactics around

So more of a director of football sort of role? ;-)
2010-04-10 18:28:12
i think you are jesting! no chance! :)

get back to whatever backwater country you live in! ;)
2010-04-10 18:43:22
