Truffs to All

I have been mulling this one over and would like you opinion.

Should we all have a common format for listing players. If so what should that be?
2010-04-10 16:19:37
not a thread owner but i think this is a good idea

I was kinda of wishing for a few more comments in this thread so I am bumping this up for discussion again.
2010-04-15 13:24:36
What do you mean by a common format please?
2010-04-15 13:43:02
I mean this....

When posting a new player, PLEASE use the following format, so they can be added to the thread easily:

[ pid=ID Player]name of player[ /pid] - team name - skillpoints Age - age
IF NEW PLAYER please post it like this:
[ b]Pts[/b] - [ pid=xxxxxxx]Player Name[/pid] - Team Name – Date DD/MM/YYYY

[ pid=ID Player]Name Player[ /pid] - team name - [ b]skillpoints[ /b] - H xxx

b]Pts[/b] - [ pid=xxxxxxx]Player Name[/pid] - Team Name – Date DD/MM/YYYY

Age - [ pid=ID Player]Name Player[ /pid] - team name - [ b]skillpoints[ /b] - date of posting(dd/mm/yy)

They seem to have evolved a bit. I was wondering (management speak warning) if instead of letting them grow organically we need to use our experience to baseline them again.

Management speak off now.

Whats your opinion?

say wha... ?
He's basically just asking the other thread do'ers if the format we post our players is ok. Since i've done these before i think it's just personal preference. For example, some insist on posting age when i'm not really bothered. I think for updates the new and new total is enough. For new players i don't see a need to change it. I can't see a way to better it, can you then truffle?
Oh. You see, I said that for comic effect, but thanks for assuming actual stupidity on my part :)
I would never do that. I was assuming wd40's stupidity :-)

doughnut is correct.

However I want the people who maintain the threads to give an opinion. I think I have a solution but I want to see if its worth doing first...

Future England Wingers..........I'll follow suit, not fussed (in a positive way)!
2010-04-18 18:20:34
Okay then I will work on the idea I have and see if its a good one now that I know we have "discussed" it...
2010-04-18 22:29:52
Sorry I never replied as I have been really busy lately. I appreciate whatever people do so I am happy for the threads to have a standard style if thats what people would prefer.
2010-04-18 22:43:08
Well my thinking goes like this. If we all have a standard style then its worth writing something in say excel or something similar which can automate the output and everyone can use it.

Its a good idea. :)
