Subject: [NT] WCQ Vs Poland

I couldnt have asked for a harder game to start with really, but we have to play them twice so might as well get it over and done with early!!

Realistically it will be very hard to get anything out of the game, mainly because it is against undeniabley the best NT team in Sokker. But also because i wouldnt have had even 1 friendly to get the tactics and squad selection right.

I am currently going through the database and cutting and adding to my squad, it should take a few days. Then after that i have to design a tactic that i think will get us a result against Poland.

Post any thoughts or views you have here, also any questions and i will answer and respond to them the best i can.

Play all 10 players in a defensive wall around the goal :)

Don't try anything too crazy, you don't have to go too attacking/defensive to do well against Poland.....Not that I have a great record against them. Something always seems to go wrong!

Play an offside trap with ten players in a constant wall on the half way line. That'll catch them by surprise!

i have been through the database and i have to say that the standard of players is pretty decent, but i have had to call up alot of players that havent been updated in the database for a while. although they havent been updated they are better with their skills than some of the players that are being updated. I would as again that if you haver any players that you think may be good enough for the NT squad please update them in the database or send their skills directly to me. ATM my 33 y/old Trevor Henchoz stands a good chance of making into the squad as a cover def!!!!! God help us all!!!!

If only you could play all 3 at same time set as GK. Maybe we could pull off a 0-0 then!!!!

I have now selected my tactic and squad for my first game in charge this saturday. I think there is going to be a couple of surprises in the squad, and maybe there might still be a change or two depending on if I get anymore player updates between now and the game.

As i said before it is going to be a difficult game to say the least, but i am hoping that with tghe line-up and squad selection we can maybe get a result. In the predictor section the Poles are convinced they are going to stuff us!!! All except the actual NT manager who thinks it will be quite a close match at 3-2 to Poland.

We are at home so the match will be at a decnt enough time so we can watch it, and I am starting to get nervous already!!!! Keep your thoughts/predictions/banter coming guys, i want everyone to be involved in the NT set up from now on in some way.
