Subject: [NT] WCQ Vs Poland
Thats got to be one of the quickest calls for a manager to be sacked!!!!!
We have had a chance squandered. We need to convert everything, and that ain't happening.
Poland 3 - 1 England
This was a good match to watch, Dexter was a constant threat down the wing, and a red card to a mid of theirs allowed Dexter to be supplied more with excellent chances. In fact, with better conversion and a bit of common sense (many shots just past the post, and at '50, Shannon broke clean through only to pull it back), we may have been even at the end of the match. However, Leggett was playing amazingly, so we could have easily squandered 8-9 goals without him.
Well done jpk for a great first game, bad luck :)

It was a tough match to start with but we held our own. The wing backs for us played them onside too much, that was the only negative though. A good start from jpk and he can only improve if we get a few players in form.
The wingbacks were at fault for a goal, but there's no doubt that was a fairly equal game.
We were hamstrung by a lack of quality forward without doubt again.
Hagan scored one, could have had 2 or 3, while the first bloke I can't remember the name of, had 3 nice chances set up by Dexter, who played very well tbh.
Azerbajan next, we should win this by a country mile.
Some interesting team selections, I assume that there are some huge issues on suspensions or I have no clue how players like Western couldn't make it into central midfield. A couple of the defenders looks to be pretty low on secondaries too, thats never really been my style as I think it can create more defensive problems as they give the ball away cheaply.
Apart from that, the tactics looked fairly solid. I would have used a tighter midfield three (rather than one DM and two higher mids) & perhaps two strikers personally. No huge issues though, largely we were just beaten by better opposition players.
