But neither are really that suitable as defenders.

why not

they need a better defender rating - at least they would at higher levels. neither mr g or i play in III or IV.

ok thanks and it's hard to but defenders that will improve my team with little money in the bank

Neither player will be particularly beneficial in the long run given their age.

i'd pick Iyshay as he used to be one of my players when i first started in IV. he hasn't actually improved much since i sold him when he was about 19 or 20 :p

Both have nasty defence, a excellent/formid teched player could waltz through them.

Clearly Ishay is the better Defender... Pace really matters for defending and his for is better?

well since I have a roughly similar team compared to you, been in the USA B leagues(III Division), and I train defenders, I think these guys while decent since you just promoted will hold you maybe for a season. But they will not be able to do a thing in a qualifier to II division for you.

My current minimums to start in my squad for defenders is excellent+ pace and formidable+ defense. Now my starters all have incredible/brilliant defending and still sometimes will get blown away by a guy who has a II ready team, but can't seem to promote(throws qualifier too...)

if your opponents are bots and new starters then both are fast enough and have adequate defence to be useful - I'd therefore use the 1 with best secondaries

Against real players they're both sprinters who should not be allowed anywhere near the back line as they won't stop anything

What do you care if he throw qualifiers. It just saves you from winning the series and doing the same lol.

my plan is to stay up for 2 seasons and then push on
i'm not in rush as i need to catch up on players who have been doing it longer than me
