I am in desperate need for Scouts!
I felt it was time to update this thread considering things have changed a bit lately. For our Full NT to continue successfully and our U21 team to grow as a threat to other nations we have to become a more well oiled machine.
This is what I planned to do, not necessarily in this order but alas it still needs to be done.....
1) Set fixtures for the season, this is already settled with the Friendly Cup arranged between the English speaking nations.
2) Scouts, a hugely important role.....I have not really asked for scouts in previous seasons as I have not got the impression that many are interested in doing so. In addition to this the new Dream Team website run by rtg helps hugely in sorting out players who are good enough. Thats not to say I could not do with some help in gaining creditable updates on players. This in particular helps as we can then guide trainers if they are willing in a specific training program. I want dedicated people who have a spare hour maybe a week to chase updates on each area of the team?
The following is the old set of scouts - this needs updating I feel. Those willing to continue can do so.
Goalkeeper Scout/s - NCFC & Daleg2006 - Future England Goalkeepers
Defender Scout/s - doughnut_jimmy
Midfielder Scout/s - jpk030876
Striker Scout/s - Jaize
The Future Stars Thread and Best of threads in Sokker England should help to ensure we keep a track of players as they become available.
3) As in every season it is blatently obvious we need to increase the amount available to the U21 side and then the Full NT for future years. The future stars thread in Sokker England will be maintained. I do now though need to SK Mail all IV teams to ensure we have all potential stars within this thread. It is not extremely hard to do, just a matter of cut and paste mainly. Any help with that to cover a few series maybe really nice? This thread takes on a different level now though as we now are finding it more difficult to ascertain an end level for youths...although we do now know end age.
4) One of my ideas was to also set up Academy teams within England, i.e specific teams within England that train English players in certain positions. I realise this is something that could be quite restrictive to teams in the way that they play the game, but it may not be as bad as first imagined and could be something that teams stagger into.
An example of this is my team, I have trained strikers since day 1 of joining. I now have 3 striker trainees all of whom are English. I plan to train all English strikers one day, but I am part trained in some players and so will wait to fill these slots when I finish the planned training I am undertaking.
To expand further - When a player is pulled or is made for sale the Academy Teams are contacted, if they have a slot available they can then purchase the player and train them for the good of the NT side.
Ideally it would be nice to have:
2 x Trainers for English Keepers
5 x Defender Trainers
5 x mid Trainers
4 x striker trainers
This is just off the top of my head as this could be well short on what is actually required. Any volunteers for this would be greatly appreciated, and I feel would be a very satisfying way to train and play this game. English players are rare and carry a fair value compared to other countries like Poland. Let me know what you all think - but we could do with more trainers all of the time?

Midfielders - Forest reserves / Wideboys / Diamond Sharks / RedJim / Maggica ROMA /

For the future to be bright we need all users within our community to participate. For informational purposes we have various threads running that list both our best Youth Academy prospects and also our Best Player prospects for the different positions:

1. Future Stars Thread - maintained by wdp74
This thread is for listing all of your talented Academy players not yet pulled. Once they are promoted a link is made to ensure we track them. Plus if the player is good enough they can be transferred directly onto the Future Threads below.
For the Threads below please check page 1 as there are ways to calculate your players ability and this is where the list is kept of ALL PLAYERS.
2. Future England Goalkeepers - maintained by Steelers
This Thread is used to list all English Goalkeepers being trained. No matter how poor you think the Keeper is please check this thread first as there is a serious lack of Keepers in England.
3. Future England Defenders - maintained by Truffs
This thread is used to list all English Defenders being trained. Again as above please check the thread, your player maybe good enough when you think he isn't.
4. Future England Midfielders - maintained by Pilotfish
This thread is used to list all of the best Midfielders in England of different age groups currently being trained. Again even if you are not sure please check the thread out as you may find you have a great midfielder in your team......or maybe sold on as a youth on promotion?

Please could I ask that Everybody who has potential players also update the database below. It is very simple to do and will help greatly in achieving the best selection of players possible!

i am going to have to step down for obvious reasons im afraid, i would have had more of an active role this season if i hadnt got into the NT.
At night I can scout defenders and/or midfielders if you like but only at night as my days are often too busy. Not sure whats required but I can give it a go.

use the ultimate scouting tool and sack all those wasters. Your country isnt big enough to demand scouts. Get the job done yourself you lazy fat B.

Best (In Form) Keeper, Best Defender and Best Midfielder Injured, our only winger for 28 flamings days! :(

He could I suppose but our best Mid was the guy who is injured and he will miss the whole of the group games which as a small country like ours is hard to cover. I am just very frustrated, I avoid playing them last week and this week and they get injuries anyway. :(
