just scrapped though 1-0
lost on possession and play in half despite a huge ratings gap
glad I didn't watch now, sounds painful

Picked up a 9-1 win and 175 000 $ in gate receipts as I played in a very nice 60,000 roofed all-seater stadium.

A good trip all in all!

I might be at home next round with any luck, who wants to take me on!?

I lost 1-0, but learnt a lot. The formation I used contained the opposition nicely, but the reason that my remaining forward scored so many goals was because Herbski would get into positions, leaving Theiler mostly tap-ins to finish. Back to the drawing board / transfer market for a striker methinks.

I'm going to get buried in the league now.

I told you Herbski is a God of Godly proportions. ;)

daft thing is, the best looking striker / passer of the ball on the market that I can afford is a player I already sold for 1.6 million, who has been listed as a cheeky punt for 2.4 million.

Although it's financially stupid, I am tempted.

If it makes you feel better my intended replacement for Fica I missed out on as some Spanish dude has more money than sense unfortunately. :(
2010-04-22 11:44:33
not really, you still have all your money :)
2010-04-22 11:45:39
I need a trainee badly!

Well, I can't buy a pensioner forward for 3.5 million.
2010-04-22 11:46:55
Time of the season imo.
2010-04-22 11:51:48
i cant believe im still in the cup :) it would be a miracle if i can win my next game though!

Thoroughly agree wdp :). You know you've been playing this game too long when one of your youth pulls is on the transfer market, aged 31...
2010-04-22 12:25:47
LOL makes you feel old eh?
2010-04-22 12:25:59
my first ever junior is 24, im getting on a bit as well haha ;)
2010-04-22 12:36:22
Yep ! Daft thing is there are 3 former Nil strikers up for sale today, and I'd be happy with buying any of them right now...

My most elderly still living youth pull sale is 33 now - fast approaching these skills again I guess.

Dale Watkinson, age: 18
