oooh. biggest cupset is that slackers are out of the cup - and Jim was hinting about playing his 1st team in later cup matches - he'll be peed

Yer just scraped through with 9 players left on the pitch.

Can someone help me, i play my cup games with no subs due to concerns that if a player comes on whom played in the league game he will lose training, is that the case?

Beat bot Pompey 4-1. Good. Didn't manage to get the almighty Corey Bridge into my lineup though!

No I answered this for you before, if they have the same order, i.e DEFENCE in both Cup and League they gain training.

Technically, no player will lose training as a sub ..but if a player comes on as a sub with different positional orders from their first match, then only the time from the sub appearance will count towards training.

The only real risk with using subs in freindlies is if you get very unlucky and have say 3 defenders get injured.
The 1st defender will be replaced by the first sub listed with DEF orders, but for the 2nd and 3rd injuries (assuming you only have 1 sub with DEF orders) then they will be replaced by the first outfield player listed (with any positional orders).

So if you put your ATT sub in position 12 on the bench, in the scenario above he'd end up playing in defefence with DEF orders and would only gain the sub appearance time towards training.

Sod's law! I'm just going to have to settle for a season of mediocrity!

I made it through with a 3-1 win, thought it would have been closer than it actually was so chuffed with that in the end.

Its like deja vu, just like the same stage of the cup last year I have to face Oblique Blongesity FC.

I'm pretty sure I could beat their reserves, but I doubt thats who I will be facing!

I play them next and unless they decide to play a full 2nd XI, unlikely with 17 players, my reserves will get a beating.
