Subject: junior school

Just decided to open my junior school and wondered if this coach will be ok and if you train pace in your normal team do the juniors get that as well orrandom training in different skills

Your coach is fine for now. Main team training doesnt effect your juniors training. Afaik there is a preset for skilldistributions when juniors arrive at school, after that they receive linear training according to that preset in al skills.

Somone might correct me if I am wrong, but that is how I remember it from german forums.

Nope.

Your junior comes in with some defined skills. E.g.

poor stamina, tragic keeper
weak pace, unsatisfactory defender
average technique, unsatisfactory playmaker
weak passing, poor striker

He is then trained an equal number of weeks in all skills based on the overall appraisal (level) of your Junior Coach - Outstanding in your case.

So a Magical Junior Coach would get the same trainee to higher skill levels in all of the individual skills than say an Excellent Junior Coach.

hmm, just thinking back, my best players in my team were trained with a solid coach, if only they were trained with a magical like i have now ...

Yep, that's the shame of it ...there could be some cracking juniors in Div IV teams with rubbish JCs and we'll never know it.

indeed, in my team Halsall, Hawkins and Hounsell only had that solid coach but they mey well be worth double the amount if trained with as i say magical, oh well, let the gods bless us with talented juniors! ive had nothing but crap since Arnold. :(

but i do have an incredible+ coming in 3 weeks, who is adequately named Crapper :)

I agree on the general appraisal being all that counts, but I've never been able to convince myself that they get an "equal number of weeks in all skills" -

If that is the case, how come you get guys who come out at, say, formidable after 20 weeks but only have tragic striker (for example)? Maybe I'm missing something (or just thick) but I can't quite see how it would work like that...

I hope you don't think I'm "having a go" - I just can't quite see it.

It's a fair point - it doesn't exactly stack up?! I don't know if this is how the junior system allegedly always worked?

However, this was the clear explanation of the new system ....after translation from Polish ...into Hebrew ...then Swahili ...followed by Japanese ...Mongolian ...Arabic ...and finally English.

So it could be complete tosh :)

I forgot all about the alleged training across skills. Certainly was a new addition, perhaps the scrapped it in the bedlam.

At least it all adds to the exotic mystery of Sokker....

Is that a nice way of saying 'nobody, including the developers, has a bloody clue'? ;)
