lost 4-0 to Forest reserves, but never should have been that score at all, my lads more than held their own imo! Was a dirty game though, 3 red cards and a booking in total!!!!
Yep, just started to watch the match, (and have now promptly stopped!) nice switch.
Won my first game of the season 2-1, actually did not deserve it though. The injury to Flowers showed me just how much he means to the team, up until his injury we looked much more threatening. Luckily its only a 10 day injury so I hope he can maybe play on Wednesday a bit to gain training.
Nice 4-0 win to keep my 100% record without conceding. I'm in slight danger of autopromoting this season, altho the pace trainees for the second half of the season will probs put paid to that
You don't know the half of it Cartman :). I have a slightly injured 28 year old striker. Didn't want to use him from the start, so I set a tactic that went something like this :
45 mins if drawing or losing, bring named striker on to pos 11.
60 mins if drawing or losing, bring named striker on to pos 11.
80 mins if drawing or losing, bring named striker on to pos 11.
At half time it was 1-1 so he came on. Then we went 2-1 down, and equalised towards the 80th minute. At that point, the striker was subbed by the player I'd chosen as a midfielder. As one of my central defenders had been injured and replaced by a useless space filler sub (due to injury), I already thought I was onto a loser. But then this 19 year old, good tech and pace, excellent striker comes on with 10 to go. Imagine my surprise then when he scores the winner in a goalmouth scramble with 4 minutes left :)...
