Subject: [U21] World Cup vs Croatia

Tomorrow we take on Croatia in the 2nd round of matches for the World Cup group. I am still looking at the tactics and squad, but I am hopeful after last weeks match that we can cause them some problems.

Croatia dominated last weeks game vs Chile but managed to lose unluckily 1-0, they will be desperate to get back on track tomorrow with a win. However a win for us would see us potentially qualify for the next phase. Either way its another tough game, but at this stage there are no easy games.

The team is set and the tactics have been chosen. Hopefully we can continue to play well.

Thanks, I am really pleased. A 4-1 win is amazing and we are through to the knockout phases now too. :)

Particularly happy as I played around with the defence based on the thinking they would go for a slim formation....they did and it worked. I think we look very threatening in our matches so far....any thoughts?

Nice to see Baddely get another 2 assists to go with his assist last week. Almost a bit of a shame that I am training his defender currently, he looks a half decent winger and could be improved further.

Yes it is a shame hint hint. lol

His passing is a big bonus for the cross accuracy, we look strong at the moment and I hope we continue to escape too many injuries and cards. I know there are stronger sides but I am hopeful I can continue to cause teams trouble. Having strikers who are capable is making a world of difference.

Only 4 goals? Tsk. I expected at least 5 ;).

I could but I would rather go for the win and finish top so that we face a team who has come 2nd in a group. Do you think that would be the best thing to do? I could rest anybody on 2 yellows already of course.

very advisable to go for the win. Look what happened to me ending up second last time round! Although having said that who looks like winning their groups - base it on that

just checked - advisable to win the group - all the teams who look like coming second look like relatively "easy" matches. Dont win and your chucked in against Poland Italy etc

Italy look amazing again, could well be the winners for consecutive cups at this rate. Only I have beaten them so far. I would rather play them in the Final before beating them again. ;)

We are up to No.14 now in the World. :)

Thats a jump of 22 from the start of last season.......yes I know I made us in that position before.

This should effectively make it much easier for us to qualify for the next World Cup.....whomever is in charge.
