Subject: [NT] WCQ Vs Saudi Arabia

This saturday we are at home to the groups whipping boys, and this provides us with a great chance to rack up the goals to boos our GD. saying that I am fairly confident of needing to rely on GD to qualify from the Group as we should finish 2nd behind Poland unless they slip up and we take advantage. so with that in mind i am going to play 11 players who are out of form or not quite good enough to make the starting 11. They only average mid 30 ratings so we should still score plenty of goals even if players are out of form.

Your thoughts?

i would play a selection of potential first teamers out of form and younger prospects on the fringes of the side mate

are you playing the tactic with 2 at the back?

More than likely, but it will be my own created tactic with 2 at the back if i do. We will still have a very strong team out, they will all just be out of form. players like parker, hagan etc.

I wouldn't play any out of form players personally, sounds a bit daft but you are the manager and the manager on merit :-)

Normally i wouldnt consider playing out of form players in a qualifier, but the saudi's are that bad it shouldnt really make any difference.

and the main reason is to make sure that i dont get injuries or suspensions to my main squad players as we have the South africans the week after, they are our main threat to 2nd place in the group and dont want to be missing anyone for stupid reasons.

There seems to be a problem with the NT database atm, i cant load the page up for some reason, so atm i am going to be picking my starting 11 without knowing all the players skills!!!! Should be fun :)

You'll have decent form strikers though, surely ? To keep the GD up ?

just looked at the south africa vs saudi game, south africa played with a striker in unsat form and he scored 6 goals from 7 shots!!!! I will play hagan and clift for sure and probably cutting as my three strikers. clift and cutting are in magical + form, and hagan is probably our best striker, if only he was ever in form!!!!

As you have seen so far in my 2nd stint as NT manager I dont like to name my squad before a match, but seeing as we are playing Saudi Arabia I will name my starting 11 now. I am 90% sure that the Saudi's will use the same tactic they have for every game so far, 1 striker, 1 winger, 5 at the back. i have made my tactic and these are the players that have been selected:

I will only be setting 1 sub to come on, that will be Cope for Hagan at half time. Thoughts and score predictions? I am predicting 20-0 unless the Saudi manager throws the game and we get a default 5-0!!! I bloody hope he doesnt and he hasnt done so far so all credit to him.

That's what i mean ncn, why not play worse in form players?

If you check through the starting 11 most of the players are in decent form, hagan and parker are the worst of the lot. I took alot of players from the Bulgaria match. England has a very good selection of players to fill all positions, this has allowed me to not play the out of form players. hagan and Parker are only playing due to the fact that i think their skill set outweighs the fact they are out of form and i am playing them to see how much of an effect they can have on the game in poor form against weaker opposition.

Well, I had a player picked for an NT game once, and his form went from formidable average to magical average for the next 8 weeks. Maybe, just maybe, giving a player an international gives him a form boost.

hasnt worked with hagan at all that way, shame it hasnt really!!!!!

Right i have edited my starting 11 in the earlier post, this is due to finally being able to load the database page. i have selceted the best squad for my tactic and hope that we can score a high amount of goals as a result of the changes.
