Subject: Tutor for England

Ok, I'll add you tommorow. Am considering adding myself, but it seems that a 'P' gets instant access.

Ok so far we have a list of:

Lostprophets / DJ - you are already a staff member. Unless DJ would rather be a Tutor due to not promoting much?

If I make a list like this and then we reduce it once we finalise it, I think it maybe should be based upon length of time in game and forum use? Any other thoughts?

sorry but having sty & mattius as tutors is a joke - you're both nice blokes but you are definitely not at the level of tutor. you make glaring mistakes, have no idea when it comes to layer values, and just don't fully understand the game.

this is like making me & jaize & ncn into mods ffs

I haven't stated that they are, just simly making a list. Then at the end I think its probably fair to have maybe a poll choosing who people feel should become a tutor? or I decide based upon experience and achievements?

I have no idea of player values either. They keep changing.

I think England needs maximum 1-2 tutors. We have one in Eesti. Besides mods can answer users questions too. I think there won`t any job for so many tutors. Quite sure about it. I made a news on frontpage, but no one has send mails so far. I have a feeling this sytem needs improving.

Whether or not I'm selected as a tutor, surely ideas like the one above depend on what the purpose of a tutor is?

If the idea of a tutor is:
- to stop newbies making silly mistakes
- encourage newbies to stick with the game
- answer questions as they come up. e.g. when someone is trying to set their team line-up, not 2 days later.

Then maybe more than one tutor is needed - I'm not sure any England user is permanently on SK, and even if they are they'll be doing their own stuff at various points.

To me, the the idea of having tutors is to give quick (and accurate) responses to new users to clarify the rules, or to tap in to knowledge they don't have.

However, if it's to have an oracle for each community, then fair idea, starting with one is probably best.

@ wdp74 , I think i have good knowledge of the game as i feel i could be most useful at tutoring lowering league sides like division 4 teams as i have had at 7 seasons there and have made mistakes me self when i was in division 4 and this had helped me to learn and explore how i could of done it and how i can help up newbies do it properly instead of getting bored of it and it takes a while to get somewhere in this game.

Well, when telling people what to do, it would probably be useful if you could communicate effectively. Me self, I can't does that very well, but I ain't putting me self forward for no job like what you are. Is it ?
