Because its not elections in America.

lol :p

Englands u21 qualifying group is a decent one. we should be definitely looking to qualify from this group :) switzerland, USA and moldova are decent teams, but 1st place would be where i'd be certainly looking to get if i'm elected :)

1. England U21 0 0 0 0 0-0 0
2. Schweiz U21 0 0 0 0 0-0 0
3. USA U21 0 0 0 0 0-0 0
4. Moldova U21 0 0 0 0 0-0 0
5. Việt Nam U21 0 0 0 0 0-0 0
6. Lëtzebuerg U21 0 0 0 0 0-0 0

Tough group imo, even though we are ranked No.1.

there are a couple of other good teams, but it seems easier than previous groups, and i think we should qualify :)

i know, not sure whether i should as i don't want to seem like i'm acting like i've already won the election, but i'm going to try and get a few updates for players. it would help ncn just as much if he was elected though... :) lol

A cynical person might consider doing so to be canvassing for votes. Luckily I'm not a cynical person :).
2010-07-25 19:34:35
thought you might think that ;)

in fairness, of the managers i've mailed for updates there's only being a few that are English, and i've just sent a standard message that says i'm scouting :)

wow i cant believe the new u21 managers electioneering here are saying this is an easy group.

Switzerland are always dangerous, USA can pull a result against England and watch out for those pesky devils Moldova.

The truth is no-one knows how strong our opponents will be until the end of the first qualifier.
2010-07-25 21:21:57
Cedric will crush you Englanders!

You won my vote tomkellz, good luck.

In true wdp style I would be moaning like mad after drawing that group, especially after getting us up to 11th in the rankings. lol
2010-07-25 22:35:40
lol, i do think that there are a few tricky ties, but i think it's a group we can win as opposed to last qualifiers when we had italy.

@iris: thanks for the vote, i appreciate it mate :)
2010-07-25 22:36:31
I'm sorry I'm going to miss the group.

Hi Tom,

I've had a look through your matches from last season in II... with the exception of a couple of early experiments, you basically played two tactics - 433 and wing - and there didn't appear to be any modifications or tactical tweaks for different opponents.

I apprecaite the old adage 'if ain't broke, don't fix it', but if you become U21 manager tactics will be a key factor in England's success, if not the key factor - particaularly as wdp74 continually bemoaned our alleged lack of quality in strikers, mids, defenders, etc. compared to every other nation in sokker :)

Do you have some examples of innovative tactical formations or situations where you've used tactics to beat a significantly stronger team (ratings wise)?
2010-07-25 22:56:36
From what I have seen we lack quality in both defence and do not have a winger of any note, how will you combat this problem?

No winger?
