Here are the England U-21 NT minimum requirements for 19 year old players. The player levels here represent probably the 6th - 10th best players in our 19 year old lists.

If you have a 19 year old player about this level, please update the NT database, or sk-mail me.

Thanks

NcN

GK

Solid (8) Pace

DEF

excellent (10) pace

MID

So is this for 19 yo players? What about 18, 20 and 21?

I must say this is getting a bit confusing now. I think we need a some sort of plan here. Do we have one?

Its would appear that you dont need the future NT threads anymore for talent spotting. I guess you have scouts or something?

I think these are just guidlines so people can see whether their players are close to getting a game or not in the future.

I mailed wdp quite a few times asking whether so and so could get a game, and where they were in the potential pecking order, I guess this just stops annoying buggers like me pestering the manager.

Maybe you are correct but it seems that he is asking for info as though he has not got any?

Not sure what resources are needed here and there seems quite a few comments about posting to a database (never done that) or sk mailing him. So although you could be right asking for mails seem like pestering in reverse!

The player levels here represent probably the 6th - 10th best players in our 19 year old lists.

Just looking to make sure anyone that doesn't think their player is good enough could be good enough.

Using the firefox add-on osokker makes updating to the database very easy! I think its a good idea to get as many players as possible on the database and to update them often!

(im pretty sure there is a way of updating your players to the database using programs like sokker organizer 2)

Well I think its all a tad disorganised. Could (and hope I am) be wrong!

Very different to the WDP way just worrying that we are not working smart here..

Don`t use Firefox, only IE, Opera and safari!
2010-08-10 20:52:25
there is an argument that he wouldn't have to do this if it had already been done! (not a dig at wdp) players are a year older and he needs to know last years 18 and unders who didn't stand a chance!

you should give firefox a go! I prefer it to the others - especially IE

Firefox add ons need updating all the time. Plus you have to reinstall firefox so often due to updates.

So not a fan.

Your first bit of info is quite interesting, not sure if there is a problem because of not enougth scouts/staff or updates not being applied by the previous manager. Is there a plan/staff at NT level?
2010-08-10 21:14:03
I think as far as staff/scouts go at u21 level its NCN on his own! ditto for the plan! but thats just a guess.

thats true about the add-ons and so on, although i tend to run through a proxy and its a hell of alot easier on firefox than IE.....havn't tried it on anything else, nd im certainly not gonna try that google chrome thing...maybe when i get my mac i will turn to safari.

Well he should not be. Perhaps once he has his feet under the desk he can say what would help England perform better?

I am sure that there would be lots of support for the manager if there was a plan to help england and therefor our juniors dp better.

those att settings seem a bit high for 19yo's at this time of season. we only have 4 known players on that at the moment. maybe 27 would be better so people don't get put off and think their potentially talented players aren't going to make it ;) the others look about right for the age :p

Well, this has created some debate, which is good.

The purpose of these minimum requirements, which to be fair, have been in use in this game by various NTs since I've been playing, is to give all the managers who read this forum something to aim for. If you have a player who meets these requirements, then congratulations, you have one of the better English players for his age. As more people update their players, the minimums will rise, as does the standard of our team.

At 21 year old level we have a very competitive first 11. But if we were to pick up 3 or 4 injuries in MIDs, or DEFs, we might struggle. In fact, injuries to 2 of our top 4 strikers have already forced me to do some emergency scouting for fridays' game. I need to build a bigger squad around the talented players we already have. If we can also do that for the 20 year olds at the same time that would be great too.

The future ATT, MID, and DEF threads are immensely useful. Minimum requirements are set here to add to the picture of what our better English players look like at each age. I'm not giving away the skill levels of our best players here, just giving a picture of an amalgam player who is on the cusp of the top 30 players.

The dreamteam best value tables and the NT database are also immensely helpful in identifying our best current crop of players, and to be fair do a lot of the scouting for you as they remove the 80% from the top 20% just by using the value rating. But if we are to do well in the world cup, then we need to know how to improve our 20 year olds so that they can be world beating 21 year olds.

There will be 18 year old and 21 year old tables to follow, I just didn't have the time at work.

In my opinion, the best way to help any NT manager is to update your players using the NT database. To do this, just fill in the form here. There are snazzy firefox addons that allow you to click a flag on your players screen I think too. But that's not for everyone.

Before I got to grips with the interface, I wasn't sure about the NT database, hence the requests for skills by email, but now I'm more comfortable with it I'm happy to recommend it. If anyone is uncomfortable with using the update facility provided by the NT database, I'm happy to update the skills for them if they want to send details by sk-mail.

Having looked at the ntdb figures, I'd have to agree tom. Good point well made.

I guess this just stops annoying buggers like me pestering the manager.

That will never stop you pestering me, but yes - effectively :).
