Congratulations. Now we have to play against Poland. :s

A very decisive 3-0 win in the end. Although on paper it may seem like only a marginally large win, other than 1 or two instances, that game was dominated by us all the way through.

There were plenty of key precision passes, and Henchoz worked incredibly well in the off def type role.

Untroubled.
2. N. Close
Cleared up all the messes that came his way.
3. C. Bridge
Mopped up anything that Malhan failed to deal with, solid performance. Was expecting him to be battling Stokes (which was why he was in the middle).
4. M. Malhan
Solid job. Failed to tackle Stokes a couple of times, but Bridge saw that most of that didn't develop into danger.
5. T. Henchoz
Rock solid performance. Didn't put a foot wrong all game.
6. R. Devlin
Looked a little weak defensively at times, but his passes were key in getting a lot of solid attacks.
7. B. Hulka
Glad to have him back, weaker of the two wingers, but he was still dangerous.
8. M. Tillbrant
Best performance for England to date.

Didn't have too much to do.
9. T. Lineker
Couldn't have asked for a lot more from his role.
(60' O. Galvin)
I thought that he may have done well sitting behind the strikers, but failed to make any real impact.
10. S. May
2 goals, but had a few chances which didn't materialise.
11. J. Bevan
11 shots and 1 goal. Pathetic.

Germany are going to be a very, very, very tough test in the next round.

--> billy, you may want to remove the words, "might be a bit". A fne match. Even though I had a match with Delvin (Pboranjing United), I didn't notice that he is such a nice passer. It was a fun to see his brilliant passes.

The weak point of today game was only the substitution of Lineker with Galvin, Wingers needs some improvement though, they were OK. In defence, Bridge and Close were excellent, not for the remaining.

A fine match. I want to see this with Polish team. Fine work. Mr. Gib.

Thing with Devlin, it's getting him in the right position to make use of his passing. The further back he is, the better he passes, and he seems to do better with them when set as def (as defs tend to pass quicker than mids who will run and dribble instead).

Good news.

Netherlands must be just favourites in their game. If they win, and we do, then we would avoid facing Poland for another week :D
