Subject: [NT] WC Vs France

Tomorrrow is our second group game against France. They will fancy their chances against us, we played a friendly against them a few weeks ago and we drew but we looked very poor against them if im honest.

I have decided to stick to a formation that I know will work against teams, and I have selected a team around that formation. Should be a good close game and i am confident we can get a result. A win would see us in a very good position to qualify.

Looks like you had some bad luck last week, have not watched as I have just got back from hols.

We need Columbia to win now or we are pretty much out.

We were unfortunate to lose a player to the red card, it seemed a little key....but they did seem to create a little more from the wider striker.

I dislike red cards because it changes all the match as i lived with this last week-end against Colombia.
English guys had a great spirit on the field because we got much dangerous actions but your GK was great... I was like a ghost till the end of the match...
Everything is possible in this group.

Really didn't like the use of an offensive midfielder. Only really works when the opponent plays a deep defence.

As France didn't help us out, he was in exactly the same position as the striker. This was a wasted player, it almost felt like we has started the game with 10 useful men on the pitch. After the red-card, we were then asking too much to be able to cope.

I agree the att mid was wasted unfortunately. Another winger would have been better as it would have stretched their defence more.......never mind. Hard luck jpk.

hindsight is a wonderful thing isnt it. tho i dont think i really could have done anything today - although i must stress i cannot watch the bloody mate due to the newest flash player upgrade

I was trying to see if the new match engine would make it easier to have an att mid to feed through balls to a striker in space. France leave a big space between their full backs and centre defs so thought now was as good a time as ever to try it. I think Blunsden being sent off had a major impact tbh, with him on the pitch i think we could have at least got a point.

But, we are now in trouble in the group. We need to beat Colombia to stand any chance of making it through, so that means i have no choice but to attack them on saturday. More on this later......
