We are down to a feeble 444 users now, not sure what is going on really but does anybody have any ideas to increase numbers?

I think the game needs to be more interesting and that is it. Especially now the changes to the youth set up effectively became a complete lottery and frustrated lots of people that had spent loads of time and effort in slowly building a team.

I for one only continue to play because of the forums, the game hold very little significance for me. especially as there is so little to actually do.

All games need to grow and develop and this one simply hasn't in the squillions of season I have been playing.

There are loads of things they could do to make it more fun and loads of different things they could do to make it more ,or less, challenging but they just don't. I think they have got to the limit of their nerdy design capabilities and it now needs a more creative approach.

Don't get me wrong, it is still enjoyable but it will always remain the domain of the more analytical and patient mind. We see around us loads of teams fold purely because they go financially bankrupt but it wouldn't take Adam Smith to work out that if you solved that problem you would have a better chance of introducing folk to the good parts of the game, all of which need a bit of time to find.

And it still looks really crap.

The problem is, that the site looks very basic to newbies, and I have to say, without the forums I would have got bored of failing in IV and quit if I didn't promote this season.

It would be good to know where the expanding countries are, to see what they do. Aswell as dumping people in bot leagues, this game suffers from not being immediate enough, sometimes I have to click through 3 pages to get to what I want. People generally don't want to have to remember a path through a website.

Turkey, Brazil, Hungary and the Czech Republic seem higher than what I remember them, also Poland seems higher, possibly by 6k than what I remember, but that may be me making things up.

Actually looking at the numbers, the S Am countries all seem to be higher than what I remember.

It's like that advert with that russian washing machine salesman sent to india to work out why sales are up...
