Oh dear. 4-3 defeat, looked ok up front, defensively disastrous though.
Sorry folks.

We needed toby haylock, he would have filled that gap no problems.
we needed me to play 4 or 5 in a line at the back. that would have solved it I reckon.
the def-mids seemed to get caught in possession a fair few times - low PM?
I have to say, I like the concept of your tactic, just maybe the wrong time to use 3 defenders.
not particularly, no. hmm.
back to basics for next week, which I intend to use to develop a team for next season. Incredibly, we should still finish top :-)...

Maybe a friendly would have been a better time to experiment...
Yeah, they went with a bog standard tactic and it did what it said on the tin sadly.
I tried 3 defenders at u21 and it was extremely ineffective.
well, it was more 3 defenders in their half, 5 in ours. worth a try.
Its good to test these things out, please feel free someimes to ask me if I have experimented with these things as I did it for a long time and have a decent clue as to what worked and sometimes didn't. I don't mean that in a condascending way......I did do it for 5 seasons though. :)
You did a great job this season and its games like last nigh and friendlies that you should use as experiments.....I felt we looked the better side, there were some lovely passes made to the strikers.
