Subject: Final game of the season, 31.10
Due to a farcial bit of bad luck, only win 9-0. Fuuuu, I'm headed for the III of doom :(
Played a 2-5-3. Had one sub who was meant to replace my slightly injured striker at half-time. Some point in the first half, the player who all the play goes through (Sulowski) gets a 17 day injury. My ATT sub comes on (with mid orders). Then to REALLY rub it in, at HT, my slightly injured striker moves to the key position with ATT orders. My original sub is now where I want him to be, but with MID orders. Fail ensues :(

was sitting here smug as anything after scoring with 5 minutes to go, 2-1 up thinking a draw would have been a fair result. 3 minutes later, it was as the shanks got a goal in the 88th minute.
A pathetic 13 shots to 2 and I still lose 1-0, sometimes this game sucks. How on earth did I lose that game and how did Amateur's keeper look such a world beater? Keeper was obviously poor and in low form and yet keeps out point blank shots time and again. :/

Destroyed by Steelers 8-0... His tactics were spot on
3-0 win so finished comfortable 1st. Only blip this season was a 0-0 draw in a match i totally dominated; but that happens in RL too so no real moan from me. now for another crack at II

You didn't click on the link to our last match by mistake did you? ;) as i think we must have watched different games.
In the first half, i missed a penalty and a 1-on-1, you had one good chance created by a 20 yard pass back. Both of your goals came directly from set pieces and you only had 2 other scorable chances.
I think you were extremely lucky to get a draw.
Kwazulu, was that your strongest team? Your marks didn't seem to show that.
Anyway, congratulations to steelers, he had the easier run-in and stole 2nd as i suspected :)

Definately an easier II for you this time around though. :p
In other news my sons team won his IV in his first season! He drew 1 game winning 13 and has a qualifier which is impossible but in all honesty I am shocked he managed to win an IV first time around, especially as he only joined in Week 4 of this season......clearly had more luck than me this season!
