Hello guys and gals, and Gibbage

I am standing again, we qualified for the World Cup finals this seasons with a 100% record beating Brazil twice. Hopefully I have shown enough to be given a chance at the finals.

In addition we also won the first 9 games we played this season and lost only 2 - both were friendlies with lower age groups, this is a worry for me but also the whole NT. We must try to ensure we train our younger players better and hopefully I can co-ordinate efforts with the incoming u21 manager to try and achieve this.

Interesting that you raise this as it hasn't been something you've mentioned to me this season. Apart from anything else, how can the manager of the u21 side help with this, when the gap between u21 and NT players is about 7 seasons ?

There have been many posts with the words "wdp out" on them. Your thoughts?

I am consulting my human rights lawyers on this vicious campaign against anything related to the letter "w". A writ is being prepared and is on its way by courier pidgeon as we speak. Due to this I have told to not make any further comments.

What I will say however is that I do not hold the same grudges and if those who feely strongly wish to do so, please run against me. :p

To be fair it is something I have banged on about for months and months and not only while you were the u21 manager. I tried to create an atmosphere where people wanted to help out by training the players well, I setup a system of there being specialist trainers for certain positions. I can dig up the thread if necessary, this by no means is your fault as maybe I did not mention it.

For a long time now we have lacked any volunteers to scout or do a lot of things, we have a few users who are valuable members and update the "Best of threads" etc but not a lot else.

I will not lie though - which injuries etc we were distinctly 2nd rate player wise in the recent U25 friendly - Israel's forwards were hugely superior and as it was I was forced to use 1 only.

We cannot do anything about lack of numbers in our country but Israel I believe are smaller in relation to user numbers. As a community we need to try and do more, but we have lost a lot of established managers and forum users and we need to do something to stop this happening.

Maybe I mis-communicated here. You mention specifically in your opening post that you would like to work with the incoming u21 manager. I am merely asking why, if this is a desirable thing, it didn't come up in our 28 conversations about Hollis :).

With regards to keeping people here, we have a fairly good, but small community, but some players have been here over 5 years. It's difficult to maintain an interest in anything for 5 years. Which means recruiting more new players and getting them to stick to the game, to get them to share what we find interesting in it.

Did you not communicate with me with regards to training Raine then? ;P

I knew what was needed for Hollis and unfortunately he got virtually no games this season due to form and then you played other age groups which are all understandable. I felt that we did work together and had many communications over various things, maybe I am miscommunicating here?

I agree on the 5 yrs + comment.

you are missing the point. if this co-ordination with the u21 coach was so important that you chose to put it in your election speech, why didn't you mention it in any of the emails between us last season ?

Indeed, Israel community did a great job and this team and the team from future seasons are... let's say, 70-80%, their contribution. From a country who didn't qualify to any World Cup since 3 seasons ago, Israel became one who can create problems to any country above 2nd place, imo.
And I think England can do better (more valuable players), if you can manage to keep your main stars here and train them well (even from 20yo, you'll see the results in 5 seasons)

We did discuss things though did we not? We spoke about things constantly iirc? With regards to the youth of our country I did try to install a system of sorts, we had:

- Best of threads
- Specialist trainers
- a scouting system of sorts.....which did die a little I admit.

When I say co-ordination I am really looking for fresh ideas to ensure our best stars are trained and continually trained until the latter 20's.

The age groups we have coming through at NT level are light in both quality and numbers, many of the u21 players I used to use have stopped being trained. I did feel that I maybe boring people with the u21 and banging on about the training etc, especially when I would get 1 or 2 comments per WC Finals match at times.

I get the impression that I have upset you here, but again written text is hard to decipher at times so maybe I am missing the point totally again? lol
