depends what you're training. if you're doing any of pace, tech or pm and have space i'd say test his talent. could make a good def/def-mid. if he's talented then you'll have a good trainee, or have proof of talent for selling, and if he's not then you should still get a bit in silly season :)

Pfft he is a defender and you know it.....as for whether he could make the u21 side as a striker well it is possible - but it depends as always what the players are pulled at that age level and also the talent of him and the other players. :p
