Subject: [NT] English Player Trainers

I am looking for English 16-20yos to train up. Either DEF or MID - pretty flexible for the next season or so, as I sell my 1st team and plummet down the leagues.

Money in the bank, but won't spunk £m's unless very special. Gone are the days of me spending £6-7m on english players to train up, then sell for £3-4m when 27 and cry cry cry!!!!

I'm busy selling up, so have money.....

.... just have been looking back and nearly all of the recent players that I've trained up have made me losses - especially when I splashed loadsacash......look at recent sales of Straight, Bissett, Sear & Plumbly - all 4 trained for a number of seasons - in total these 4 will make me a loss of probably £2m.......

That's always going to happen. The smart money is buying at 17/18 and selling ate 21/22. That's adhere most cash ismade. For top of the line English players you have to pay over the odds. See blue.

The best trainees to make money on tend to cost about £1m. Most that cost around that kind of money are at least reasonably talented too.

Vinny pye is for sale, not sure if he will make under21, but hes the ebst talent i have had in the game so far, And can still be moelded into any position.

Shame about the way he's been trained. Don't think he can reach his full potential.

Has this idea been discarded as the last message was sent 10 months ago? I'd like to train English defenders but I have to admit I don't have enough money to buy anybody decent.

Always worth reviving anything like this. It will probably be easier for you though to just search the transfer list filtering by English players.

Yes, but I can't see any of those players making the U21s or at least the ones I can afford ;-) I guess the only real chance I have is by having someone decent enough coming through my junior school at some point.

Due to selling a player for around 200k more than I was expecting to get :-) I have a little money in order to buy some English trainees so hopefully I will be able to find some worth training.

is it the player that went for 300k?

if so, can you tell me what his skills were like?
i'm trying to get an idea of plyers values these days.


edit: do you think you would have got a bit more money for him if you had sold him in the silly season?
