we won 6-0. i thought it was a better performance than our last qualifier against phillipines, but i thought our finishing was poor at times, especially in the first half. we looked better when tripper and nuttall came on who scored 2 each. we got better results than lithuania and hungary as well which will be good for if anything comes down to GD :)

next week, we have nicaragua who are the weakest team in our group, so we will stay very attacking and try to bag some more goals and anotehr 3 points :)

Nice win. Plenty of decent through-balls - Strudwick got his first international assist :)

However, (particularly in the 1st half) the strikers were just straying offside or taking too long to shoot when put through. 8 or 9 nil wouldn't have been an unfair reflection of our dominance.

But then Hungary scraped a 1-0 with 17 shots to 1, so perhaps we shouldn't be too unhappy with 6.

congrats, hopefully there'll be more to follow throughout the season :D we had a fiar few offsides, i thought they'd have dropped deeper but they didn't. i know, the 3 in the first half are our strongest str's as well, the slightly weaker subs did better against tired legs :p

yeah, our GD is the highest in the group now, and it will hopefully get our ranking up a bit as well :)
