I am a div 4 team looking to move up to div 3 next season

Stay in div 4 for one more season. :)

Agreed - training these players up for a season or two will give you more benefit than flogging them now.

Both have given you good advise. It is near certain that if you promote yourself this season you will end back up in DIV IV next season, where else one more season will allow you to have a decent competitive team which can fight to stay in Div III.

or he could could up to league 3, not bother about winning match and cash in with the cash, when he goes down buy better trainees, then come back up stronger ;)

It depends, it kinda sucks being mashed every week. My last two seasons have been an example. I've decided to make basic tactic cos my current ones are dodgy as hell :(

look at my this season, then tell me about getting smashed each week ;)

better buy some of mine - should be enough for 3rd division

They are actually not too bad a set of trainees. If you sold now though, I don't think you would get a great deal for them, the bottom two especially.

Would it be better for me to stay down, focus on defender/pace/tech training and see where they are at at the end of next season, before making any decisions on my players? Is there any worth selling now? I played the game in the past so I have some experience, but I have so many defender trainees.

change training to speed so you will be able to train 22 defs :)

By the way - first thing you should learn that do not waste money for stupid stadium upgrades - if you want to extend - built thousands spaces not 50 :)

I'l post my defs at the end of next season asking the same question. Thanks for the advice. And this is another question lol, about what average rating do u need nowadays to be comfortable in division 3 (and also division 2) as a rough guide?

i got about 42 average last season and only just got 7th in my league 3. i would think you would need about 48-52, and you should be up there.

it is not only about rating but also about individual players you have and about tactics you use.

pace is the most important thing in div Iv, but tech is equally improtant :)

I have: magical/brilliant, incredible/magical, and 2 2x incredible. The most useful are the 2x incredibles because of the sideskills.
