I have chosen to stand for the role of England NT.

My aim is to hopefully make the elections into a closer competition - and add another serious candidate.

If I won, I would likely only take the role for one season, unless I was uber brilliant. My aims will be of course to qualify from Group N.

I will try to have one eye on the following season, and so will look to younger players in some circumstances.

I would aim to be an "open" manager. I will be very open to comments and suggestions from other users on key players to use & lineups. I will listen to and appreciate information on player form.

HOWEVER...

-> I am working internationally, and do travel extensively. This does mean that there is a real risk that I will have limited time for occasional matches. My travel agenda for July, August, Sep & Oct is very light at present, but there is risk there.

- THERE IS ALSO A REAL RISK THAT I WILL HAVE LIMITED TIME TO SET TACTICS AGAINST SPAIN AS I AM TRAVELLING FROM 4th JULY UNTIL 11TH JULY & UNCLEAR ON INTERNET ACCESS...

-> I have three young kids, so cannot spend 2 hours a night researching teams & tactics. That's simply a fact.

So, summarising, I'll take it seriously, I have got good experience, but my time to spend managing the team might be limited at times - however I will try to mitigate that as best as possible.

Another choice!

EDIT: Clarity on Spain match situation.

Answer to Question received: Do you have the time?

- that (and whether I am tactically inept) is the BIG question that you need to think about for voting for me.

I will have *some* time, more than you have seen recently on sokker, but not huge amounts of time. Not hours per day. Definitely more than in 2010 and 2011, when I was barely on sokker as I had major personal issues taking up much time (my ill mother).

There is a risk of lack of access when I travel as I do not have a smart phone. I am travelling from now until 11th July. (Germany, then Hull, then British GP all straight after each other), then not again until August, and at present very little in Sep / Oct. That again is why I chose to stand now, and probably for only 1 season. It would have been impossible for me in April-July this year as I have been travelling extensively.

My aim in the election is also about adding some more choice. Even if my standing just makes others take the election more seriously it's good.

An nt manager inherits 10th perfectly usable tactics. Ideally they would make their own. But if there isn't time you can always use what you inherit. Winning is the key thing.

Thank the Lord for this thread.

There was me thinking a rude hasbeen would run away it. Let's hope people change their vote.

I'd like to turn "nobody in particular's" attention to this video if I may.

Honestly, back in the "olden days" there were some games where you were lucky, and I should have won. But nowadays, well, yup, ahem, I've not even had a lucky win...

Will you be manager of España, Canada, República Dominicana, Andorra or Sakartvelo?

If so, and I was to win, then my answer would be....ummm......err......eeek.

I'm not quite sure who the "rude hasbeen" is, but I am standing as the "polite hasbeen" to choose ;)

:)
